Fiesta WRC at 130 km/h must have something around 5000-5500 rpm on 6th gear which is much more than my stock car. Be aware that driving on 6th gear doesn't mean to drive super-fast. The rally/racing gearboxes are much shorter than stock ones because those are built for sound comfort, fuel consumption and reliability. I can imagine he is running even slower in the photo.Quote:

Yes, strange... Never saw that before.
Lemes lost another full minute on ss3 with no logic if you look at his times on ss2 and 4.

I think Mads has felt the pressure from the very beginning this year. A bit the same as for JML during the past years. Hope this doesnīt mean Mads will continue crashing, because it hasnīt been his style when driving the Adapta Fiesta.
Looking at his test video itīs very fast handling on test before Portugal and that speed doesnīt work through a whole rally of Portugalīs caliber. Sooner or later youīd crash.
Hopefully Lemes will appeal that overnight as it virtually rules out his chance of a podium (but could make for some very interesting driving tomorrow!)Quote:
