It was not 25 gramms lighter but 211 gramms lighter.
You guys mix nominal homologated value with lower tolerance limit. That is two different things. Guess why there is the tolerance?

Aren't fines current nowadays in the wrc? when was the last time that a manu driver was 'properly' penalized for tech infrigements? But you're totally right on the privateers discrimination, althought for some of them these values would probably mean a huge blow on their budgets.
P.S.: huge congrats to Sordo/del Barrio, Huttunen/Lukka and Hyundai.
I'm with Mirek on this one. There's tolerances and they were below MINIMUM weight.
I can understand in both ways and problably Sordo did not gain any real advantage because of it but in the same time these are the RULES. And rules should've applied to anyone.

I'm actually shocked there's been no time penalty or even disqualification.
It is perfectly possible to also give time penalties and not just disqualification or fine (= nothing).
Lukyanuk go 1 min penalty for similar thing last year in Roma Capitale.
Off course it's a political decision not to "anger" Hyundai, and we know that Tommi is not really a guy to complain too much. Ogier might...
Imo the "wise" middle ground would have been to give him 1 min penalty and drop him to 3rd, moving Ogier and Toyota 1 spot. That way Hyundai would still lead manu champ but by less points.
It's scandalous that Hyundai's don't get at least a time penalty. Guess taking their ball home at Nurburgring 2 weeks ago has worked and now FIA let's them get away with what they want...
These are just a few I remember
Burn's flywheel 20 grams too light in Argentina = exclusion from Burn's inherited win.

Hirvonen's clutch and turbo in 2012 Portugal. The turbo part .02mm too big. Hirvonen's win transferred to Ostberg,

2009 Rally Australia - antiroll bars - Citroen - 1 minute penalty. Hirvonen/ Ford winner instead of Loeb.
