BTCC 2007 - rumours (merged)

Adam Jones has been linked to the team.

The Team Dynamics staff at Autosport seemed fairly certain that the new Civic would be raced, saying they wanted to display the Civic at the show but they were not finished in time. BTW, what would happen to the Civics if the Korean maker appeared with TD?

Not really, WSR havent even got the BMW's yet!
For all we know there could be a new manufacturer testing in some secret location!
Just read in Autosport about a S2000 Dacia Logan rally car that didnt compete in the end. Could this be converted to a touring car? Would be a good way of getting Dacia known in the UK?

I'm just interested to know if there has been any pics of the car that may run for team dynamics this year, if so, can i have the link please?

Nick Leason has been mentioned he could be joining GR Asia with Adam Jones, he was also seen talking to Paul Ridgeway at the Autosport show and knows him well as he tested for him when he ran the Focus in the BTCC. Nick has apparently got 2 new sponsors so could be getting some serious money in. Good luck to him as he is a really down to earth and genuine guy and probably the poorest man on the BTCC grid....A real underdog in my books.

As they haven't built one yet, that's going to be pretty difficult!

Spoke to Nick Leason on Friday, its looking very good for him to enter again in the Astra thanks to new sponsorship.
He was offered a drive in a top car for 07 but it would have been way too expensive for him- He did say he thinks he has the smallest budget on the grid.
I will be backing him 110% this year as he is a genuinely top bloke and he has a proven car which will hopefully spring a few surprises.

Nick will be out again in the Daniels Astra I think.
