Well, it's of course easier to keep the vehicle on the road if you drive a bit slower... (this doesn't apply to Ogier in most cases, however...)

PS - Is it just me or does anyone else thnk they should be doing 2 more loops of these stages rather than driving to Lisbon for a 3km stage! :rolleyes:

So despite all his obvious speed this morning how many points will Mads pick up? Great to see 2 guys really pushing but I think Elfyn is following orders about his pace ("don't go so fast that Matthew looks bad when he gets his turn")

What history about Lappi You mean? He hit a stone in SS1 in RMC but that can hardly be counted as such case as the rally hardly started. In NORF it was engine failure. He won all rounds of Finnish championship last year as well as Rally Poland where he first run for Škoda.
