Nice video, the cameraman must have stood just next to me on SS5 (the fastest place in the video with gravel corners) :) It's just a bit pity there are no crazy moments of 2WD guys from there but I understand that the cameraman was probably in a hurry for SS6.

Tomaštík said that he stalled engine in same corner of Rally Lužické Hory in 2011, 2012 and 2013 :D
I'm suprised Octavias Wrc are still in use. They look so big compared to modern WRC cars :) Lappi lost only to one wrc car. Is this Kostka a good driver?Quote:

Kostka is circuit driver and brother-in-law of Roman Kresta. In the past years he usually did only Barum rally but in 2012 he started full rally campaign after his DTM negotiations failed. He won Czech sprintrally championship with C4 WRC but twice badly crashed as well (one C4 was completely destroyed). Some people say that he won only because of the car and it's true that it was by far the best but in Barum rally he showed that he learns fast. In one of the toughest editions (due to weather) he finished 3rd overall behind Hänninen and Kresta. For 2013 he planned some WRC events. In RMC he won shakedown of WRC2 but hit same stone as Lappi in SS1. Now I believe his starts with Fiesta WRC are a preparation for WRC Germany and France.
By the way in first section Lappi was the only one on cut slicks. He kept using them all rally.
I wonder if Skoda helps in any way to keep those old fashioned wrc cars still go in rallies. I mean, for example, if engine blows up or gear box brakes down, does the manufacturer still have some spare parts to sell to privaters or the car is just wasted?Quote:

Our dear new president today stated on public that rallying shall be banned or at least restricted. He said it's too dangerous and gives wrong example to young drivers...
I wonder what example he gives to young people when he is well known as hard Becherovka drinker, smoker and arrogant vulgar person let alone all the scandals connected with his prime-minister era... but what we voted for we have :(
Does that idiot have full power or can he be stopped?
Theoretically he has almost no power but of course he has a power of influence.
I can't belive that such idiot become president....Quote:

Technically he has almost no power but as I said he personally has a lot of influence.

I'm back. ****ty weather again. Very nice fight of S2000 guys. Odložilík shall not rent WRC cars. He is afraid to crash them. With his S2000 he is way faster (anyway one of his best drives ever I would say). Jakeš very impressive considering he run Gr.N car with 32 mm restrictor (mandatory in our sprint championship) against Sýkora with top R4 car.
1. Kostka (Fiesta WRC) 44:24,2
2. Tarabus (Fabia S2000) +47,7
3. Odložilík (Fabia S2000) +54,7
4. Grzyb (Fabia S2000) +59,8
5. Jakeš (Evo IX gr.N smaller restrictor) +1:52,7
6. Tlusťák (Lancer WRC) +2:03,0
7. Sýkora (Evo IX R4) +2:03,6
8. Trněný (Fabia WRC) +3:16,3
9. Březík (Evo IX gr.N smaller restrictor) +3:42,7
10. Firla (Evo IX gr.N smaller restrictor) +3:55,0
Kahle didn't start into SS2. He had some off in SS1 and maybe damaged something.
Tomaštík had a huge crash, the Impreza S12 is gone, part of the rollcage was torn away. Both driver and co-driver injured but not seriously.

This is crazy onboard of Jakeš (last part of onboard over famous Všemina forest is a must to watch). At least once very close to a big crash (and not only on this stage...). Co-driver asking all the time to calm down...

I like Jakeš onboard, especialy the last part (after 5:00 min), full atack on the downhill section, and in wet, quite scary....Quote:

That's interesting quote from You. Here if You ask anyone who has something to do with rallying he would tell You that Slovenia has generally much nicer stages than what we have because those are twisty, technical and without broken asphalt everywhere... Although I love the fast sections for crazy spectacle on places I agree with majority that with modern cars our stages became quite a lot dangerous.Quote:

Another great rally from Jakes. Might we see him this year in the Big championship again?
I'm already looking forward to Rallye Krumlov in 2 weeks. The entries are quite promising. Hopefully this will be the First rally of the czech season with good weather.
Good weather in Český Krumlov? :D On another note... be prepared for extreme spectator safety measures. They already proclaimed all places out of official spectator points are prohibited. I think that it's an attempt to force as many people as possible to easy controllable areas but still it's worrying development although understandable after all what happened.
Jakeš has only Barum from MMČR in his program.
Thank you for your answer. Strict safety measures are understandable after what happened last year. Do you already know if the place next to the Austrian boarder near Cetviny on the Malonty stage will be an official spectator place? I was there the last years and this a quite safe and nice place.
I have no idea. Unfortunately I don't plan to go to Český Krumlov. I think that the reality will not look like hermetically closed areas around stages. That's impossible anyway, just expect tables "forbidden area" around 100% of stage length to keep people at least behind them far from the road. That's how it was in the events where I was so far.
Anyway it's sad to see MMČR entry lists this year...
Kopecký - probably only 2 events in CZ
Kresta - only 3 events this year
Valoušek - not driving
Prokop - nothing in CZ
Semerád - not driving
Běhálek - not driving
Kopáček - not driving
Bujáček - not driving
Arazim - ended active career
Trojan - only one or two events per year

Hello for all again!
I'm happy to be here again.
My name is Eneko Celayeta and I'm Zelaieta Motorsports Corrdinator & Driver and EC Sim Hardware "Motorsport Simulation Enginering" founder & CEO.
There was many years out of this forum due work and free time reasons.
Hope I can find little bit more free time to keep enjoying our sport with all you!
Now, talking about Tomaštík crash, it absolutelly looks scary one. Hope both are ok.
How it happens? Wrong note call or simply lost of control caused by the mud on the road?
Really, it doesn't look a low speed crash ...
It is also need to be mentioned the heavy performance from Jakes.
I have the chance to see the posted onboard and he is able to maintain very high rythm on it and push even more in the last part of the stage where the conditions aren't the best.
Congratulation for it!
Best regards.
