They're just not that good? ;)
Pedersoli was also terrible at Rally Sardegna.

Yes, drivers like Re or Fontana are no competition for top Italian drivers as well - be it Basso, Andreucci, Rossetti or Scandola.
Another scratch to complete a perfect loop this morning. Great.
@ Jarek Z, I think you can probably compare the level of Fontana, Pedersoli etc to guys like Olekskowicz. ;)
I can't agree. Oleksowicz has been competing for years in top cars and never won anything important. Fontana at least won a few international events, so I expected more from him...Quote:

And Oleksowicz lost 3 :)
eWRC-results.com - results Geko Ypres Rally 2011
Everything depends on surface, type of stages. Macek made a big progress on the beginning of year 2011, especially on Croatia Rally he was able to be on same speed like Iliev, Betti or Longhi (despite he had technical problems), and Bosphorus Rally, where he was fighting for overall win with Avci, Travaglia and Betti. He has never been good on fast bumpy tarmac like Ypres or Barum. I think that Macek and Corrado are on similar level - on some events they are able to be very fast, on others only average...Quote:

And judging from what I saw last week not so hot on wet gravel or smooth tarmac either.Quote:

Dont compare SWRC with different championships. SWRC is not about to be fast, but about to be in finish. He knows easy that he cannot fight with Andersson or Breen on same speed. So for him was better to go normal speed and wait for mistakes of his rivals... This is the best strategy to be a champion :)
Not so slow though that you end up being beaten by Gp N! He wasn't competing he was touring. Andersson and Breen were not his rivals. Cave and Fisher were. Only Llovera was going slower in Catalunya and he has a reason to accept finishing as an achievementQuote:

I have found something interesting about the experience of both Fontana and Re. Are you aware that Fontana won Rally Como already 5 times and Re 3 times? :)
Trofeo Aci Como - Albo d'Oro
Maciek is a nice guy, but results don't lie. He has never won anything in WRC, ERC, even in Polish championship. It's not a coincidence. Corrado is at least able to win rallies or even championships.Quote:

EPIC Lancer EVO IX N4 OnBoard
No mercy this time from Andreucci-after fifth stage almost 50 seconds advantage compare to U.Scandola. Young Albertini more than 1min30sec behind....The old fox is still Nb.1 on gravel in Italy, thanks god.....
Great win for Robert. Fastest eight stages out of ten. Waiting for Rally du Var!
The biggest competition in Rallye du Var is Loix with a whale... A car that's 5 years older than the C4 and wasn't even top back in 2005 (last year as factory-car). If Kubica doesn't win he will have no excuses. ;)
Wasn`t there some speculation that Dani should compete with a DS3?
Yes, but he won't be there. IMO too closer.Quote:

As I said before several times in different topics, French people on forums seem to be very good in inventing things... Covered by some nickname it's easy to say "I heard from a good source that..." ;)
About Rally Como: again great drive from R.Kubica, he is way too fast for Italian gentelman drivers. We all know already before the start who the winner will be.....
Nevertheless, we must congratulate to the new Italian tarmac champion-Felice Re. He definitely deserves this title, he was clearly the fastest and constant. And it is already his third TRA title.
There is no fear that we will not hear more over the future years over Re family-yust look the stage times from the penultimate stage-Val Carvagna (almost 30 km long), Felice's son Alessandro made with DS3 R3T third fastest stage time, merely 10 seconds behind his father.
Well done, Re family.
SS7 Rally Costa Smeralda stopped and cancelled after crash of Dettori(crew OK) :mark:
I can see it still running with three cars being now on SS8. They say that Dettori just blocked the road by his car so they canceled SS7 but no words about canceling the rally.
Cancelling SS7 I wrote, not the rally, Mirek ;)
This picture clearly shows who will replace Loeb at Citroen :)

He won against gentleman-drivers so he will be dominant in WRC? Wishful thinking... Realistic? No.
It's just a joke! Take a look at the writing on Kubica's seat ;)Quote:
