Maybe hit the pole too,but doubt if a pole can extract the tyre out of rim, this is concrete job imho

Real sad for Neuville. MC it’s probably the hardest rally on WRC; one got to have outstanding mental strength, and Ogier’s luck, to win it. Hope tomorrow the Belgium can take PS max points.
On the bright side there was Evans stage wins and Latvala’s excellent times (fingers crossed for a podium!).
Btw, I’m amazed with the forum idiot reaction to Toyota’s fine performance: it takes some nerve to still call Makinen’s team the finish village idiots. What a moron!
On a series of photo's on french forum rallye-forum you can clearly see that it is the cocrete that is the cause of the tire going of the rim and breaking the suspension.
On Kremer’s disappointment over WRC2 privateers small chances: a sort of WRC2 Trophy (or a AM category like in LM GTE) could be created, but support championships like WRC2 must be open to manu’s team. That’s the way to attract more brands into WRC and it’s been common practise since almost ever (Gr.A in Gr.B days, F2/Kit Cars in Gr.A/WRC era and even the last JWRC years).
strange for you... business as usual for others
you can do it with you daily drive if have balls big enough... unlike Evans

Redbull coverage is spot on.
Evans looks very at home in the fiesta, now he's away from the snow.

So, forecast says that Ss14 and 16 will be wet and light or moderate rain can be expected. Tempetrature between +2..+4
SS15 and Ss16 should be so that rain until elevation 1100 meters and after that there should be mostly snow. Looks like 2-3 cm by first pass and 3-4 cm for the second pass. Rain/snow should start around 5 AM, arriving from the south. temeparture at the bottom of the mountain is +2..+3 and up there should be a few degrees minus. So, who wants to win powerstage, must take some risks. I assume that Evans tyres are not working in this conditions, Meeke is out, so, Powerstage will be 1. Neuville, 2. Ogier, 3. Latvala, 4.Tänak, 5. Hänninen

What is that rod that Neuville hit?
Citroen and Toyota never managed higher than 3rd
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C2uLBEDUoAAxSOH.jpg
The rod is a sign for the snow plough when cleaning the road.
But the rod did not do the damage. They break easily when hit.
The damage was done by the small beton barrier on the ground (small bridge).
The rod was there to mark it.

The village team of Toyota are doing better than the legendary Citroen. Sick dogs M-Sport with Wilson just trying to make cash seem to be doing OK too ;)
I can think of a World Rally Champion with 1 win only...
