Good comeback by N.Gronhom in SF2, P5 ➡P1.
Once again in the final, we see that the finish line being different to the main track is utterly stupid.
Then, a shame now the result is under question.
I was super-excited for this season with the potential open results, but this was a messy weekend.
Fair result for me in the final.
The joker merge was poorly designed, the kerbs are way too big and there's little to no gravel / off-road sections. However, the racing has been pretty good.
I'd like to see more entries in European rounds since the manus are too busy in Projekt E..

Niclas Grönholm lost his win after a 3 sec penalty was applied.
Harsh IMO.
What he was supposed to do? Lift and let the Hansenboy win? Kevin lost all of exit speed going a bit to sideways on that corner... I just don't understand the penalty. A ridiculous track with no overtaking points and a bad design joker and jump... if you don't create a bit of oportunity... the guy that gets in front in the first corner wins it easily.
I reckon that WRX will only be one more year... it's not good anymore...
I thought penalty was fair. It wasn't just contact, he kept his foot in and turn Kevin around. Silly really, I think he had the pace to pass him just by jokering on a different lap.
If they remove contacts that are borderline "dirty" in Rx then they can just cancel the whole joke... if only boring passes through joker laps are allowed whats the point ?
the sport is dead anyways... but just saying.
GB Olympic cyclist Chris Hoy to race at Catalunya !
'So excited about this, but terrified in equal measure, can’t wait to experience World Rallycross firsthand !' 🚗💨 https://t.co/CPdsIPKuuM
The latest Bakkerud Life if brilliant. Quite literally going through a pile of old damaged bumpers to see what they can use. Carbon parts are never cheap! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4s4FQaB6Dg
Peugeot 1-2 in Q1 in Catalunya.
Gronholm a close 2nd in Q3.
Gutted for Hoy... nearly a Qually race win. :(
Q4 win and a clean sweep for Timmy Hansen in Qually.... pretty dominant.
So a Peugeot-Hansen 1-2 in the final. They are looking near unbeatable now.
Btw, not too impressed with the track in Catalunya. Only one good overtake all weekend that I can remember, plus once again very little gravel.
(PS. Craig Breen was also there watching. I can see him in WRX at some point.)
Wow ! If true ...

No shortage of gravel at Spa ! :)
Really enjoying Spa so far. Proper dirt section, enough space for passing and some unpredictable racing.
Nice to see some different names at the top of the standings, this is what I was hoping for this season.
Indeed!
If I could change two things, it would be camera placements - especially that one in to the joker. It's useless and spread the gravel out a bit. I realize that's not easy on how the track have been built. But it is complete tarmac, then complete gravel. The track would've been even better if it had been 2 smaller tarmac parts and two smaller gravel parts! But this might be one of the best new tracks!
Good having the heavy rain between Q1 & Q2... the grimy track and muddy cars looked like proper old-skool rallycross.
Q3 Race 3 was a good one !
And Q4 Race 4.
Got to love Timur.
Also because it is wide enough to be able to choose different track angels into bends, and also gives the drivers the option to give room to others.
Many other tracks are way to narrow to allow overtaking.
love the gravel section, with the long bend and joker with a lot of action for both lanes!
Lets hope Spa stays in the calendar!
Finally Timur wins after seven years..
The track is good, but it's too short..

Doran does what Doran does best though.
Got to be happy for Timur... he was so good right through from the Quallys.
No Peugeot domination here either, lets hope it stays that way.
And Spa has been a breath if fresh air. Great RX track.
Well, credit where it is due, I think Spa is the best F1-based rallycross circuit (by some margin in my personal opinion).
Fast, proper dirt and wide enough for passing. Proof that you don't need a complicated layout for good racing.
Fantastic result for Timur and long overdue success for GRX. That's bought the Hansen lead down a bit as well, hopefully a sign we might get the close privateer fight we are all hoping for.
Well what about Joni. He showed a real pace. And some of the drivers can just hide. Great to see the Hyundai's strong this weekend.
British Rallycross Champion Mark Higgins launches his 2019 season at WorldRX Championship of Great Britain at Silverstone. https://t.co/pVJqkRvBbS to read more...
I think it's great that Mark is on the grid, but that car is only suitable for EuroRX, not World.
Our review of RX supercars rear wings....

Also Higgins car was landing on its nose over the jump in Q2 whereas the Hansen cars were flying long and level. Poor Higgins has no chance here.
