Tarmac rallies are part of the WRC challenge for drivers.

And having the Championship in a major European capital city will bring great publicity to the sport there.

The rally isnt even based in Rome, it's in Fiuggi, 1h and 30 mins away from the capital. It's not that great of a rally, and I don't think it's an upgrade over Sardinia when the only thing it brings to the table is an SSS in Rome.

I don't get it why they don't consider San Remo at all?

If it will be in WRC, base of rally will be in Rome. Fiuggi is too small for WRC circus.

Agree. Old Sanremo would be a great rally.
