Monzon retired.
I don't see any sence in driving S2000 against circuit GT specials and such strong gr. N cars with 36 mm restrictor.

Except surprises, Fiat and Peugeot will haven't official teams in Spain in 2009.
Luis Monzón... it's rumored they would buy two 207 S2000 from Peugeot Spain, to create a private team with two drivers with budget, but hasn't confirmed.
Miguel Fuster has made a test session with the Ferrari 360 of Piedrafita Team,
but he hasn't confirmed that will drive this car in 2009.
It seems that Erik Korda from Hungary is buying a S12b for next year :)

What does this article say about the Euro Rally Challenge?
http://www.rallysport.hu/info/2008/1...rda_riport.htm
Emellett készülök a Euro Rally Challenge-re. Ha nem jön közbe valami komoly bérlő szeretnénk megcsinálni a teljes szezont, de ha mégis akkor első az üzlet és megpróbálunk arra koncentrálni 100%-osan!

2007 206 Cup Winner - Jordi Marti - 2008 Lancer Evo IX Challenge RMC
2008 206 Cup Winner - Alberto Monarri - No confirmed program for 2009
I suppose the prize for the winner of the 207 Cup will be money.

Looks like Samir Sousa bought Miguel Nunes 206 S1600 to run Madeira championship next year

Camacho will keep his S2000 for sure... and is almost certain that Nunes will have a 207 tooQuote:

ORC and its organizer Dražen Ćurić,a former Croatian rally driver, held lots of driver meetings trying to get as much crews as possible.
ORC last year was very well organized and had a very media coverage and TV shows. But,its main problem was a lack of crews, around 15-20 per rally.
ORC found out that there is no point in going next year, because there would still be little crews,so they send a message to HAKS (the national motorsport organization) with a suggestion to become one, with some requests.ORC would organize at least one rally and a new group would be added group S (non FIA homologation cars,ORC cars).
The meeting would be held right after New Year,I will keep you informed
Looks like Wim Soenens (GEKO) bought a S12 Subaru for Snijers to do whole championship, except Ypres where he will drive S2000 car. The car is coming from Ireland (Derek McGarrity) and is an ex-Atkinson Subaru. Looks like Patrick is going for his eight title. ;)
Wau, great for Snijers but a bit worse for championship which was very close this year...
Snijers is the 2009 Belgian champion :)

What means the list of 22 WRCs in the article ??? Are they car already present in Madeira island/Portugal ???

In Madeira... it was because some drivers said that S1600 and S2000 were too expensive (If you were running with a top car...) and they think that a old WRC is cheaper to maintain than a S2000 or S1600... but curious... some of those drivers will run next year with a S2000...
