Final 2 stages cancelled......???
Just announced on RallyRadio.......
It's over :( :
Citroën Racing
The two last stages are cancelled and the rally is over! Congratulations to Seb Loeb and Daniel Elena who win their 7th Monte-Carlo.
Well this is a fine thing to come home from breakfast to hear! I was all set to listen to Turini coverage this afternoon...
End of the rally. :-(
YES!!!
7 stage winners, good start of the season!

Great job Mikko!!!! Awesome!
Disappointed :(
WHY have they cancelled it????
Why? Conditions?
Congrats to Bryan Bouffier!
Pitty the rally has to end, congratulations to VW for their excellent start!

I don't know I heard in Rally Radio.
The gaps between the Top 10 drivers were high, so maybe no changes in overall classification.
Very bad end for such an interesting rally...
Traffic jams on liaisons? That used to be usual case of canceled stages in this area...
According to Rally Radio too many people on the road and stages.
It's right:Quote:

But this is Monte :) In one moment you can lose everything. I think weather is too bad to drive in this conditions....Quote:

Ok, from good rally now i have mixed feelings. People waited from many hours in Turini and in other places...
What a disappointing end to the rally :(
Anyway we have to wait some time for final overall classification due to the notional times for most of crews after stage 16 ...
Too bad the last stages were cancelled, but I guess everyone was cruising anyway. Only crashes/problems could have changed things. It was a nice rally though.
Seeing as the VW is competitive I think it will be a battle between Hirvonen and Ogier for the title. Latvala, Sordo and Ostberg may be close as well but will need some luck to get the title.
This is just rubbish! Monte-Carlo doesn't deserve to be on next year's calendar!
Maybe this can happen only in France :-( Surely it is very difficult to control spectators and the weather was bad, but it should be the highest level of world rallying and we all remember the past in Monte Carlo. Now there were no two decisives stages at all..
Of course the best drivers were still in the game.
Extremely disappointing end to an otherwise terrific start to the 2013 season.
And this will take a lot of time, I am afraid...Quote:

But this is not so suprising in RMC. Sorry for the spectators out there in the montains. (and sorry for us)Quote:

Citroen:
Seeing Ogier there is no garantie for the title for Citroen. Mikko dissapointed but ok KKK was also not shining in RMC. It will be hard for him even against Sordo. Sordo good as usual. It will be interesting to see without team orders this year
Loeb - the master, we will miss him in 1-2 years even it was boring the title fight in the past years.
VW
Ogier very quick even this rally one of his favorite. His style still needs to improved. Latvala - If he continue like at Ford with crashes, his carrier will be in risk.
Congrat to VW - the experience not count if you have enough money you can buy it. They have
Ford - young talents on tricky conditions, sorry for them, they will shine on some races for sure this year if Loeb out for circuit racing.

Pitty as some drivers maybe had kept their tyres for the final stages.
wich mikko do you mean exactly???Quote:

I guess next year they either end the rally on Friday or won't run night stages in Alpes Maritimes.
Quite disaster, timing problems a lot and now cancelled stages.. Some homework to do RMC next year.
Timing problems - nothing to do with RMC organisersQuote:

Look for the positives also. We had some in the past days.

I agree that I don't know what the actual conditions were. My problem with this thing is that the organizers DELIBARETLY DECIDED to have the last stages run in the dark. It was an unacceptable mistake from their part to make that misjudgement.Quote:
