I don't know about any "famous" cup here...
That's no cup. Just one car will go for a selected young female driver.

Thanks for the info Mirek... ;)
Pavel Valousek and Lukas Kostka divorced - Autosport
IMHO divorced not the best word for this, or you know better ;)Quote:

Jan Kopecky is winner of journalist's poll Zlaty volant (golden wheel) in category rally and he is also overall winner. Pavel Dresler is best codriver. Final results here - Autosport
First crews are entering the free practise event in Žiželice (30th March, located just at 60th kilometer of motorway Prague - Hradec Králové).
Most interesting is that Jiří Kalista will fist drive his new Subaru Legacy gr.A. This guy is probably unknown for You. In the past he did some small events, usually in a beautiful Evo V. Where he started he often won - mostly events of Rallye Cup. Václav Dunovský is back in Suzuki Ignis S1600.
Jan Sýkora ordered Fiesta R5!

Mirek(or someone else)have you got names for this season's Citroën Racing Trophy Czech
I guess Jan Cerny won't run the trophy anymore...
Frankly I don't know if there is going to be some Citroën Trophy this year. Černý sure not. Smékal will stay with DS3 R3T. In the provisional list for Rally Šumava there is also Petr Chodura with DS3 R3T.
Thanks...so we'll see when entrylist of first event is published ;)
Tomáš Kostka will use Fiesta WRC in Rally Lužické Hory.
There was the official pre-season testing in Žiželice. I was out for a week so I can hardly comment what happened there. Anyway some interesting news to see:
Robert Kořístka (last year's sprint 2WD champion) switched for Evo IX of Orsák team.
Václav Dunovský is back to Ignis S1600.
Jiří Kalista, one of the fastest drivers of amateur series, showed for the first time in action his new historic Legacy gr.A (in Czech historic championships it's allowed).
Josef Zimmermann (last year 2nd 2WD in srpints) switched for Impreza gr.N.
Jiří Navrátil is back in historic Sierra Cosworth (Fiesta S2000 no more).
Martin Búš is new driver of Roto team for their Impreza gr.N.
And of course it was nice to see Mirek Jakeš again because he wasn't driving a lot lately...
Video (the stage is quite boring for spectators but very safe for crews and that is the main goal)

Is one of the articles autosport.cz released today based on facts, or are the all related to April 1st?
All signed -apr- are jokes.Quote:

Anyway the entries are not bad considering the situation in our country (cca 100 crews including the cup).

I forgot one important thing - in sprints which are run according to the national rules the gr.N cars will use smaller restrictor for safety reasons - 32 mm like in the past. It's one of many reactions to what happened last year. R4 with more advanced suspension stay on 33 mm.
Results from test in Žiželice (sum of best times in both direction of the stage):
1. Tomaštík - Impreza WRC S12 3:00,2
2. Jakeš - Evo 9 N4 3:09,6
3. Kořístka - Evo 9 N4 3:12,7
4. Březík - Evo 9 N4 3:12,8
5. Kalista - Legacy Gr.A 3:13,1
6. Smékal - DS3 R3 3:14,3
7. Búš - Impreza N4 3:14,4
8. Navrátil - Sierra Cosworth Gr.A 3:15,1
9. Dunovský - Ignis S1600 3:15,1
10. Štefan - Clio R3 3:15,7

In some WRC events yes, but 1.6T WRC can't take points in Czech sprints. He may drive Fiesta in next round (Lužické Hory) as a test.
For our Finnish friends - Risto Immonen entered Rally Šumava.
Despite his good result in ERC Latvia his 2nd rally (home rally) in Joensuu didn´t went well. He was forced to retire but fortunately there was no damage in the car or crew..Quote:

I hope for the solid performance and good result for the Risto and Marko in the Šumava!!!
Lot of crews withdrawn Rally Vrchovina, mainly due to snow conditions. For example Tomas Kostka, Roman Odlozilik, Karel Trneny, Egon Smekal, Josef Zimmermann, Dan Zpevak...
No snow tyres allowed... Gr.N/R4 cars can use narrow tyres without studs, S2000 and WRC only wide 18" tyres according to FIA regs.

Now I was informed that the clerk of the course allowed free rims for all cars provided they are homologated for them.
Good!! This is the only possible solution to go thru the rally. Otherwise it´d be a disaster. And it might still be it ´cause Czech drivers are not used to drive rallies in snow surface...Quote:

Mirek, Malyszczycki is driving under Czech license?
Yes, to take points for Sprint championship. Only MMČR is opened for international licenses.
It was one messy event to say the truth. A lot of canceled stages, many penalties coming and disappearing, many offs and accidents. Many crews retired before start or after first stages. In the end there is a truly surprising winner - Polish driver Mariusz Malyszczycki!
1. Malyszczycki (Evo IX N4) 36:56,4 (10 sec pen)
2. Jakeš (Evo IX N4) +12,2 (20 sec pen)
3. Kořístka (Evo IX N4) +31,8 (40 sec pen)
4. Plíhal (Octavia WRC) +1:30,4
5. Firla (Evo IX N4) +1:44,1
6. Štajf (Impreza R4) +1:44,2 (30 sec pen)
7. Pešl (Evo IX N4) +1:46,6
8. Šimurda (Škoda 130 LR gr.V - upgraded over historic homologation) +3.25,4 !
9. Adolf (Fabia S2000) +3:33,3
10. Vopatřil (Fabia R2) +3:38,9
