He won't drive all stages bucause TRA event is shorter - 5 stages instead of 11 in CIR. Another reason is that changing gears in cars allowed in CIR is harder and it looks his hand is not ready for this.Quote:

Cars without hydraulic gearshift will sure be more difficult for Robert but he can always switch for RHD cars (Fiesta or Mini for example) where the lever is on the left hand ;)
"I wasn't looking for a result at any cost," Kubica was quoted as saying by Gazzettadello Sport.
"I knew that driving is a bit like riding a bicycle, you can't forget how to do it, but I wanted to verify my psycho-physical conditions in a competition, and I got positive feelings.
"The road is still long, but in a few days' time I will face a real rally with a lot more confidence.
"Had my conditions been better, I wouldn't be here. But for now, having taken part and won the Ronde Gomitolo di Lana is enough."
Co-driver Giuliano Manfredi added: "It was fun. I have known Robert for some time and I had expected to see him agitated at least at times. Instead he was always calm and focused."

This weekend will see the real value of Giandomenico Basso performance-he will drive on this occasin NA Fiesta S2000, so this time no advantage in huge torque, which would gave him undoubtedly huge advantage in this rally (a lot of harpins, it is a ''mountain'' route).
I'm expecting good fight betweeen him, Andreucci and young Scandola. And on some stages it will be possible to compare time of best S2000 drivers against Kubica & other WRC gentelman drivers....
Basso proved his qualities enough times.

Why you could only say good words about your favorite drivers Paolo Andreucci and Felice Re?Quote:

Unfortunately no Basso this weekend at S.M.di Castrozza. I don't know the reason, but Basso was able to start, but after that the car stayed in the service park....Anyway, after second stage Andreucci in the lead by yust a second in front of Scandola.
Looks like mechanical problems for Basso, no ???
What about Colombini's retirement ??? :(
Very good duel between Ucci and Scando'
Also very good duel for third between Albertini and Perico :p :
Budget they negotiated with a sponsor untill the start of the rally..
Maybe that's why the whiteQuote:

Unfortunately yes... :(

A lot is happening at the moment in the northeren Italy: in the CIR classification young U.Scandola is showing his speed (and obviously Fabia's better performance towards 207) and is already in the lead by 5 seconds in front of veteran P.Andreucci. All others are second league....
Speaking for TRA: in the moment C.Fontana is in front of Sciessere and Porro, but more important is, that Robert Kubica & co-driver are OK as the had a quite severe accident on the second stage of the day; they've hit a telegraph pole and the stage was stopped. On the previous stage Kubica was no match to Porro, Fontana and Sciessere....
On the top of this, Matteo Gamba could not start in the morning from the ''Parco Chiouso'', later his engineers found that during the night someone broke in the car and damaged the ECU....
Good Kubica and Gerber are safe... ;)
SHAME on the guy who did sabotage to Gamba's car
Scandola still leading ;)Quote:
