Glad to see Ojeda back :)
According to Belgian site pitstop.tv the homologation of MEM's Proton S2000 car will take place at 1st of august. They could have done it on 1st of july but they wanted to make best possible choices concerning engine and diff's. ;)
According to German rallysite, Opel will come with a S2000 version off the OPC Corsa. It will be prepared by MSD (Dave Whitehead) who are allready involved with the MG S2000, but with support of the Opel-factury.

Kopecky finished in IRC for this year.
There was never mention that Snijers will be in Asturias. Probably he will drive 5 IRC rally's next year with a Peugeot 207 S2000 from Kronos. This year, his aim is to win the Belgian Rally Championship.Quote:

I've quickly read through an article in Autonews about Renault and S2000. For them S2000 is (still) not interesting, because it isn't profitable for them. So don't expect a Megane S2000 too soon, unfortunately.
Yes, not so big surprise. Skoda was thinking about registering for second half of this year, but changed decision for next year. They have pre-agreement with Eurosport about it from previous year.
Really, I dont know, but in his web has the Principde de Asturias in his season...Quote:

Mark Higgins will be in Principe with the MG S2000.

It seems that first test run for Opel Corsa S2000 want be in Germany but in Ireland. The MSD build Corsa would take zero-car job in coming Cork International Rally on the weekend of 27th and 28th of september. The driver will be Austin McHale. It is believed that the McHale family was closely involved in the development of the new car and that they allready orderd at least one car for coming season. Let's wait and see how the car will perform.
