That's awesome news,to see the Vectra being made. I'm suprised they decided to make the Vectra and not the earlier Astra models?? Does that mean they feel the BTCC is more stable now and a better decision?
I get the impression that it's a Vauxhall-commissioned model, so that'll be why there are no Astras.
Spark haven't ruled out producing some of the BTCC grid in 1:43 scale this year.
It seems odd why didn't Vauxhall commission the Astra back when it was racing in the BTCC.Quote:

How about this for a 96 BTCC Vectra model?!

I could do with a decent reliable motor, pity its in Plymouth.
How can it have 3 bids and still only be 1p?
Bid retractions or bid cancellations perhaps?
Its a full scale model, i think the sunroof spoils the picture a bit.
It's because that the same bidder had bid on the car but still hasn't met the reserve price, as he is the only one the price will remain at 1p until A. someone else bids, then the price will go up B. he has another go and meets the reserve price.Quote:

Just checked it over and it's actually the Sir John Whitmore winning 1965 ETCC Cortina. It's also is very good condition with only a couple of scrape marks on the roof. Doesn't quite fit in with my BTCC collection but still a great find. Now I've got to consider whether to keep it (and maybe collect ETCC cars) or to sell it.
And I've also just bought a 1997 Rydell Volvo on ebay
My Vectra I did was better than that 1 on ebay. As I posted it on a new thread a week or 2 ago.
Here is my car. Well now my dad's car as he bought it from me. It looks ten times better than the 1 on ebay.
my Andy Prilaux car is on it's way :)
I bet the BTCC BMWs will probably get reproduced! :rolleyes:Quote:

I just got this reply back from a message I sent to spark;
"We did not finalize yet the BTCC models for this year. We will probably release some of these models as usual."
Sounds positive. Hopefully we'll finally see some more BTCC models.

I've got Tarquini's car but it's definately not for sale! Sorry!
Your best bet is to keep looking on ebay as I've seen the btcc cars come up there occasionally. They probably won't be cheap though.
Your best bet is ebay, here is a couple I have foundQuote:

I'm not trying to be rude, but please stop making new threads and repeating earlier posts about the same thing. If nobody is able to help you at the moment, repeating it won't make much difference.
i recently posted on this great forum requesting info on certain models diecast that i was after I have made some transkits from minichamps based models using mainly bbr decals which fit very very well would like to know what you guys think of them, this is a minichamps based BTCC Car made into an italian touring car championship 1995 Driven By Giovanardi.

I forget, is that a fantasy car or an actual replica of a team that raced in the STW?Quote:

Looks pretty good. Maybe you could post a picture of the actual car to make a comparison with?
The Alfa looks pretty good mate, never followed any STW racing myself but it does look like a cool paint job, didn't Minichamps ever produce it themselves? or is it a Privateer driver?
I used Minichamps Base which was orignally BTCC car they produced striped it right down to metal then completely resprayed it and got decals from another manufacterer and made this car it was a privateer team that raced in STW.

Here is another couple of Alfa's on ebayQuote:

Don't convert too many though, still plenty of peope who haven't got them yet!!!! Like DAZ90!!!!
Yeah, the Cool Fire car looked familiar. There are decal kits to replicate many teams that raced in the STW, but were not produced by minichamps. I think the time period is generally after the STW became a largely indepdendent series after most of the Works teams pulled out.
That is quite an impressive model, I've converted 2 cars, but they were obviously a very crude job compared to yours. A Macau/Biela Audi A4 and a Macau Juicy Fruit BMW E30.
The only Alfa i want is the 94 Tarquini, and i'm not being funny but i have seen that car listed on eBay a few times recently, i have even bid on a couple, but so far have yet to get lucky and win one at the price i am willing to pay, having each listing advertised on here to my fellow competition doesn't bloody help though ;)
I am in no rush, besides i dont get paid untill the end of the month anyway.
Just to let you know daz90 will not be bidding on tarquini car only others if i can find them, glad you liked the one i made do you collect all sorts of touring car or just BTCC
:s mokin:
Hopefully an MG ZS racer will be made!
Register your interest at this email as he will have to get 500 models produced.

Cheers for your comment

May I ask how he will achieve this as this is a model shop and not a manufacturer? :confused:Quote:

I do hope it comes off because they would look great in the collection
I'm assuming he can commission a resin or model manufacturer (Spark???) to make them then? That's how Autobarn seems to go with their limited run Mclaren F1s?Quote:

Just email that address, the +ve responses he has the better it is.
The original run was for 2000 models, but this run will be for 500 models, making them rarer and more sought after.
I thought spark were or had already made one ??? :s mokin:
Do you know which season(s) will be made? Obviously I'd be most interested in the Kartworld cars from this season, but I'd probably buy whichever season they made, maybe even one of each if there was more than one season produced and they weren't too expensive.Quote:
