Why is ss9 cancelled?
so Suninen retired, but no penalties, because no stages were driven?
Cars heading to SS9 on live maps, what've you heard?
Edit: Was watching delay of SS8 again for some reason.
still 10min penalty?
54.2.3 Should retirement occur after the last special stage or super
special stage before an overnight regroup, the crew will
nonetheless be deemed to have retired on that last special
stage or super special stage. If a crew such affected has set
the fastest time of the driver's priority group on that last stage,
its own time will be taken into consideration for the application
of the time penalty
Honestly, I feel bad for the spectators out there waiting in the sun just to see no cars passing by, as people said above, such excellent organization, no wonder Ferrari are leading this year's championship, oh wait...never mind.
The car #49 which caught fire on the first pass of the stage could not be removed within the available time and meant that SS8 had to be cancelled
SS9 cancelled due to difficulties in moving the competition cars from the regroup to SS9 following the cancellation of SS8
All gathered in start road of ss9 and look like lost kids :D No idea how to get home.
Cars were there about 20mins late, including 15mins known for SS8 delay. Once they cancelled the stage there'd be spectators on it.
Seems like an early call so has to be something to do with services or safety assurance.
Wait...what happened with Teemu?
The last cars haven't driven a single stage this afternoon...
Was able to drive to the service. If not retired after the stage would still be 3rd in WRC2. They should always remember that you never know what will happen in these south-European events. It´s possible that two last stages will be cancelled due to the safety concerns.

Cooling vests on at Alghero Service Park, but only during the stop, not in the car. +34C..#kallerovanpera #katsutatakamoto

Is it a minimum requirement for preplaced flatbeds on each stace in WRC?
Cant be that hard to stop the stage, clean up, start the stage again. Its all about planning!
This is a case for the clerk of the course and safety crews to plan for most eventualities.
Bingo game for tomorrow, when you get 3 in a row scream Pirelli!
Every direction counts.

I was one of those numerous people waiting on the stage for SS9. Thanks to WRC live I was informed that SS8 was cancelled and all cars initially were directed to the start of SS9 but we started to smell a rat when none of the official cars came by. And when WRC live finally broke the news with the cancellation of stage SS9 then some utterly confusion broke out. It took ome 10 minutes before the cancellation got through the radio of the marshalls. The internet vs radio waves.
Shame the day turned out like this because so far I've been loving how the itinerary sounds. Two different loops of stages per day sounds to me like a very spectator friendly format, and together with the proper stage in the city this has been sounding like a very great way to host an event.
Too good to be true sadly, but a promising concept.

Probably going to jinx it.
Again a good day as a Loubet-fan. Let's hope it lasts the whole rally!
Do they still have only 2 sealed (marked) transmissions /car for connected/paired rallies ? (must use same ones in Portugal and Sardinia ?)
Those can't be fixed, if it's broken it's broken ?
or can they open those seals between rallies ?
(I know that during rally it's forbidden to brake those seals and fix parts,)
What I mean:
Is Hyundai (Neuville and possibly Tänak) in trouble because they don't have any spare ones left ?
Rovanperä with 1 spare? who even allowed such thing in Toyota..
Didn’t they say they’d start 10 minutes earlier?
Neuville also with 1 spare.
really slow stage, avg 70kmh for Evans
