Breen is only 11th fastest on the Leg 2 times, but his overall position is 4th.
Well that’s it then I gues. One stage to go and Antunes now leading by 4.3. Stage is only 11 km
Go Pedro Antunes :bounce:
Breen holds off Tempestini - just.
Brilliant job by Solberg - he's the real deal.
Nice to see Lukyanuk keep it both fast and clean troughout an entire rally. Would probably perform well if he got a seat in a WRC car for Rally Estonia.
Impressed by Solberg again. Nice rally.
Last stage drama for Antunes?
edit: crashed
Ken Torn on the finish line of the last stage: "Pedro is quicker than me so I expect him to be in front. But we are happy with our pace and this experience."
congrats to Luky,he had almost finished the battle for 1st place after 4 stages.
Nice performance from Llarena, inside the road and fast with r5 machine.
Also impressed from Oliver. He was very fast at his first asphalt rally.Just remember Kalle at his Italian year against locals.
Big pitty that Crugnola had crashed at first day.
We would have a more amazing rally if he hadnt crash, pushing Basso, and both of them pushing Luky to dont relax.
Noooooooo!!! Gutted for Pedro Antunes !!!! ;(
And what can we say about Breen's result? A slight disappointment, isn't it?
Athough he seems quite happy:
"It's not often I would be happy with finishing 4th, but after all the hard work, the testing, it has been immensely satisfying to have been competitive with our MRF Tyres! Both the tyres & the i20 R5 performed faultlessly, we still have some work to do but thank you MRF!"
Yeah can’t compare Breen with others because of the tire difference.
Talking of tyres, they pointed out on the live programme that Luky is back on Pirelli this year. He used Michelin last year but Pirelli before that. Perhaps a factor in him being a little off colour last year.

Nice rally and a great way to resume international rallying; congrats to Roma organizers and the ERC.
Hope Breen and the young Solberg will be able to improve and give a proper figth to Luky in the next events, otherwise the series will be a walk in the park for the Russian.
Congrats to Torn for ERC3 win but also to Antunes for the figth he gave all rally long. Despite the last stage off he clearly show to deserve a place in the series; now it’s time for our ASN to back him properly. Força Pedro!
Anybody who was there as a spectator? How was it different to visiting rallies before Covid? On videos it didn't look much different :)

The Portuguese had fought his way into the lead during a thrilling battle with Ken Torn only to crash out on the very last stage at the wheel of his all-new Peugeot 208 Rally4.
“The rally went quite okay until the last stage,” said Antunes. “We were with a good pace, fighting with Torn and congratulations to him because he did quite an amazing rally too. In the last stage we were trying to push and we thought we don’t need to really push because Torn was behind and we won the stage to him in the second pass so we were quite okay.
“We were doing exactly the same time but it was a really fast section and when I brake the rear of the car just went sliding. It wasn’t because I was pushing too hard, it was like the tyres were used, the brakes were almost at the end of the rally and it’s what it was.”

Lukyanuk said he didnt have the budget for this rally just 2 weeks ago. Thanked his Team and Citroen for coming up with the money just in time.
