Or maybe conditions/surface are just different compared to yesterday, and it's all just in his head?
via wrc.com Twitter:
SS2 Cancelled. Torrential rain has damaged the stage and the roads leading to it.

Stage 2 Cancelled obviously
The car was rebuild after previous rally before Germany and I think msport was providing parts for germany but I am not sure.
And about Pirelli. From what Kubica was saying they were better on dry tarmac than previous version of Michelins at beginning of the season, but they were worse on wet because they have less cuts than Michelins
Okay back in four hours then. Not the easiest rally to follow this weekend but hopefully the action on the stages will be good.
Interesting what will happen with SS4 tomorrow...
i know the organizers cant predict the weather and so on, but still, 2 stages per day? Dont like this kind of format of rallying at all.
Time for Kiwi's to hit the nest
If SS1 will be also canceled tomorrow then they wont pass 75% rule.
Yes, we had this discussion before the rally. Some were arguing that it's the proper way to have only so long stages some were saying it's a huge risk in case some have to be canceled. This time the organizers were unlucky but they can't say it was impossible to be prepared for such scenario by cutting the route to more shorter stages limiting the impact of cancellation.
There is chance that they may run at least part of SS2/4 tomorrow and keep the full points scenario. On the other hand it's also possible that roads from other stages are damaged too.

Looking at todays weather in Corsica I think @OttTanak & Raigo may be best prepared #WRC crew Stage times circled

Kubica revealed some info about the problems today... you can judge by it that the setup was changed from the yesterday's one without Kubica knowledge
It was a farce when they decided to run 3 stages per day. Now it's been compounded by the cancellation of one stage. This is a joke. A rethink is needed.
I am quite happy it happened in the beginning of first year, so they will (they should) change it for next year. The idea of 9 loong stages was bad from the very beginning. Without this rain disaster nothing won´t force them to think clever....and someday in future it would be even worse.
Didn't the previous Corsica WRC round have 12 stages?
More impressive the time by Kubica running low in the road order, considering this said by JML:
@JariMattiWRC
"Already had rocks on the road & it was pretty dirty so for the cars behind and the ones who doesn't have safety crews, it's very tricky"

I don't know what to make of it...
It looks like Robert is quite frustrated with the team work.
Mads Ostberg via Twitter: Waiting for a decision on stage 3.
Looks like stage 3 is also in question...
So Robert settled on his set-up after SD and somebody changed it before SS1? Like Henning Solberg a few years ago in Sweden?
Weird, M-Sport think they know better or scared of Robert out performing Evans and Tanak?
Time for another team "re-organisation" from Kubica?
With more rain forecast I'm starting to think more than stage 3 could be in jeopardy.
