PG Andersson won with about 3 minutes. Mats Jonsson was second.
Some info about this summer's SM-sprint during the SM-week, http://www.rallysm.se/nyheter/rally-...-av-crosskart/
There will be Rallysprint and corss cart racing sharing the track and race day.
Everything will be live broadcaseted by SVT, either on their tv-channels and play channel or on their play channel only.
Apparently there are some problems with the South Swedish Rally. People who live along the stages have reported that many drivers have illegitimately
performed recon of the stages that will be used. The amount of traffic on these small roads have increased allot without any other reasonable explanation.
The stages are not yet officially published but they can still be found out by requesting info from Länsstyrelsen since the organizers obviously need
to have permission to use the roads.
The residents along the stages have taken notes of license plate numbers and the organizers are now investigating those license plate numbers to
see of they can connect them to any of the participants. Any driver who is caught might get suspended and some staged might also have to be cancelled.

Third round in SRC, third win for PG Andersson i Skoda WRC in South Swedish Rally. 2nd goes to Jerker Axelsson Subaru WRC, 1:45 after PG. Third o/a was Emil Bergkvist in Mitsu N4 just 23 secs after Axelsson.
Yeah I think so.. It was 25 years ago he was in those Toyota All-Trac that Asterhag built and winning WRC Sweden...
Impressive on one hand that he could keep it up so long/on the other hand worry a bit that rally scene structure is such that one or 2 guys could dominate so long after their obvious peak..
This one´s for John:

Many Volvos GrH! And first 3 o/a presentation in the end.
Next year's calendar have been firmed.
4-5/2 Söderhamn (Sprint-SM during SM-week)
24-25/2 Östersund
25-27/5 Karlskrona (South Swedish Rally)
16-17/6 Sandviken
18-19/8 Kolsva
8-9/9 Linköping
http://www.rallysm.se/uncategorized/...017-ar-spikad/
Söderhamn replaces Sandviken as one of two winter rallies and Sandviken/Gävle then moves to a new June slot. Good to see that we have a rally in June next year.
I don't like the big gaps that we have had previously. 3 months is a bit too long between two rounds, obviously during March-April it's difficult
to have a really due to de-frosting period but a rally in June and/or July have been much needed.
I hope to be home and around my summer house when the Norrköping rally goes... The stages should go past it!
Live stream for Tuesday: http://www.svtplay.se/video/8792196/...cart?info=visa Should be available all over the world.
That's a nice coverage, very nice considering it's a rallysprint for a national championship. Will it end at 19:30 CET?
Loved the variety of cars too, what's with those Corollas (not the WRC one)? They look like some kind of A7, any spec?
Thanks for the link by the way.
They are homologated (only in Sweden) with parts from other Toyota cars that are usable for rally, they have sequential gearbox and 2,000 ccm Lexsus engine. As far as I now.
5th round (4th full length round) of the Swedish rally championship is held this weekend. 2 stages y-day and 8 stages today.

I don't know. However I suspect that it will be even fewer at the final round in Uppsala since over 30 out of 89 cars have retired due to offs or other mechanical problems.

I spectated east sweden rally... Loads of fun! I'm impressed by Linköping letting their park to be used for Rally!
The amount of audience was a bit of disappointment though.
Ss4 passed right outside my summer house :)
Not every day you can just wake up and spectate the rally from your porch.
Kolsvarundan today, it is not part of the championship but it is covered live by SBF play rally radio: https://sbfplay.solidtango.com/live/...med-rally-live

Last weekend, Per "Pelle" Wilén secured his second straight title in JSM trimmat 2wd, in the final round he will drive a Mitsubishi Evo9.
http://resultatservice.se/resserv/v2...ar=2016&type=1
Good luck to Pelle, hope he has a future. No doubt that he is quick...
Jössus! 10 Volvo i topp 20...
53 uot of 124 finishers..
Over here the 'salty old sea dogs' in the sport say
"In Europe most guys start with FWD cars...low powered Front wheel drive...its the best for learning.."
They obiously have never looked at a start or finish list for anywhere in Norway, Sweden of Finland
Mats Jonsson have announced that he will not participate in the final round in Uppsala. His car (an old Ford Escort WRC) suffered a major breakdown in
East Sweden rally and it will be too expensive to repair it with this short notice. He also says that it is difficult to find parts for such an old car.

No fight as PG rolled on first stage earlier tonight. Retired but maybe starts tomorrow on Rally2. Pontus leads by some 40 secs.
