Hopefully Ogier will get better for the rally itself ;) .
Where is the service area and can
you get In to it
VW could ask Sainz or Armindo to replace Ogier at Fafe :)
They won't replace Ogier because his withdraw doesn't change the number of runs of the car. What is more, it's better for Mikkelsen and for the car itself.
Why should VW ask Araujo?Quote:

I don't think this would help muchQuote:

And if they wanted a local driver, there's plenty of active younger Portuguese drivers with talent and willing for a chance (although not having WRC experience)... but would be a miracle for a team like VW to give the car to any of them. It would be more certain VW to pick a young driver from ERC / WRC2 or something.
Besides, all this is quite "good" to VW, since it's the first time Mikkelsen will enter a championship event with the Polo later this month and he needs all the experience with the car he can get. He'll do double the runs and double the Kms with the car, giving him precious infos to setup the car to gravel stages.
It's just sad that the even looses a big name like Ogier... only Sainz would fit in perfectly considering his popularity and history in that stage. Or Jari-Matti... but that one is still a mystery case for missing the event.
Armindo have more experience with WRC than Bruno. Armindo did not drive because it is difficult a portuguese driver have budget (Bruno stopped to). I like the 2 guys, but i see with my eyes years and years of portuguese rallyes, and Armindo are a pure talent and a good development driver. I see him win rallyes and champs with Saxo Kit Car against 4WD cars, and with Mitsubishi Lancer against Miguel Campos, Fernando Peres and others good drivers. Bruno are 3x time champion with S2000 against 1 S2000 (Pascoal) and little oponents.

Maybe they didn't take enough cars to be 'safe' to have one for the rally too?Quote:

Don`t think the single car they will be using at Fafe is one of the racing units, has most of the front teams VW will use a testing unit. ;)Quote:

Maybe he should be less calm before the rally and more calm during... :DQuote:

The gods must be rally fans, rain finally stops for today and tomorrow, giving us a partially/clear sky, and will return Sunday. Just perfect for the Rally Sprint event tomorrow.
Weak winds but the night will be a bit cold though, bring your coats. :)
PS: I just hope the same happens on the ERC Açores rally, those landscapes deserve a sunshine weather.
Is there a live stream for the Fafe Sprint?
And whats the forecast for next week ? Will i bring the rain gear or the suncream ? :DQuote:

You mention some non-ZE places in your comment, I have Google Earth loaded up with all the stages for this years event. Would you be willing to exchange some words with me and sharing a few coordinates? I'm a photographer and would love to catch that jump in Ourique along with some others. I could PM you my e-mail address perhaps?
Of course you can send me a PM. I'll answer you on Sunday or Monday because today I'll be very busy working and preparing everything for Fafe. :)Quote:
