Qualifying Stage
08/03/2012 · 11:54 AM ADD A COMMENT!
Car 1. LOEB/ELENA
“It was okay. No risks or mistakes. One or two (corners) - sliding too much. We will see what we can do tomorrow.”
Car 2. HIRVONEN/LEHTINEN
“One small mistake and that is so crucial. Let’s see how the others are coming now. He (Loeb) had a problem on the line and I knew I could take some time.”
Car 3. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“I don’t know. I thought I drove well. I don’t know what happened.”
Car 4. SOLBERG/PATTERSON
“Really trying hard in there.”
Car 5. TĂNAK/SIKK
“In the beginning it was a bit too much sideways.”
Car 6. NOVIKOV/GIRAUDET
“I think we did quite a good run.”
Car 7. AL-ATTIYAH/BERNACCHINI
“Actually we had a good run. The good thing is to get a good feeling at the high speed. We will see on the rally.”
Car 8. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“Not so bad. I did not take many risks. I had a clean run. It was quite nice. We can be happy.”
Car 10. ǾSTBERG/ANDERSSON
“Having no testing, it is making it very difficult (to set a very fast time).”
Car 12. ARAÚJO/RAMALHO
“We are having a lot of problems. Problems with the turbo and the throttle on the first run on the shakedown (no second run). It is the real life.” NO SERVICE PERMITTED BEFORE CEREMONIAL START AND STAGE ONE ON THURSDAY NIGHT.
Car 14. NOBRE/PAULA
“I did what I could without doing any damage. If you make a problem here, you don’t make the rally!”
Car 15. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“I tried to do my best, but it is difficult with the power. First gear is not enough power.”
Car 21. ATKINSON/ PRĖVOT
“We will get the hang of it over the weekend. We are learning all the time.”
Car 43. BLOCK/ GELSOMINO
“Okay, It was a good run. There was a jump in there. We hit a rock pretty hard on the outside.” Slight body damage in front of the right, rear wheel.
#KenBlock hit a rock and has slight damage to front of right rear wheel #MonsterWRT
Having lived and travelled in many area's of the world....your full of ****. ALL high schoolers are douchbags, no matter the longitude and latitude, lol. There is a reason the term "euro trash" exists, remember? And they do get laid, that's the problem. The intelligent people are smart with things - make sure your child isn't born into a crack house, you have a stable job, etc. It's the retards who are freely breading, but that's the way it is everywhere.Quote:

Araujo did not want to risk catching Nobres dust :-)

I'd prefer some humility.
Ken Block is not a rally driver.Quote:

Anyone seen the Shakedown-times for PWRC ?
Hello guys sorry for not posting earlier, had been at the qualifying stage all morning. Petter was really aggresive and sideways no wonder he finnished first, citroens were ok, and Nasser very aggresive and came close to hitting a lightpole,Minis very slow, and tanak fast but all over the place. At the service everything ok, autographs all around and Mr. Block although not being one of my favorites is the big attraction... also saw Trivino in the fiesta and didnt look so slow hopefully he can beat some of the low runners. About Name and the Mini they are no way in sight and are not in the start list for tomorrow dont know what happened but will try to find out. Also im glad to inform that got to look around the Rally America (local rally, not part of the US Championship) section and there are around 15 cars, so you can add them to the 27 official entries for a total of 42. Mr caswellis back in the bwm, there are a few evo's 9 an old subaru, a focus, an old golf and a VERY old volkswagen bettle, good promotion for VW's reliability and the upcoming season? Who knows...
Ps. Got to look around Ramona Karlsson's service area and Im glad to inform you that she and her co driver Ms walfridsson are enjoying the sunny weather by wearing hotpants will post a pic soon!
I'm most definitely not an expert on us rally, let alone rally in gerneral - though, feel free to get me jived up about architecture and environmental design. I still stand by what I say. However, I believe my comment about block was something like he isn't competitive at high level, and even more, there are supoerior US drivers who simply don't have the resources to compete. Though, I acknowledge his love for the sport and the, SELF EARNED, millions he has put into it, especially in the US where the market is very small, but has huge potential. How exactly is that being a fan boi? Honestly, is that what you think? Come one man....don't let your objectivity be shunned by the cool kid bandwagon.Quote:

It's to put on a show and get people interested - like fighters who talk **** before a fight, go through the rounds, then are hugging and kissing each other after words because of the respect they have for one another. He and Alex are great guys, too. And really, the livery is pretty bad ass. :p :
IMO, block would be better fit as an owner/funding entity to up and coming drivers, than a driver himself - which i blieve will be a role he'll be filling.
If people don't want money, and attention brought to the sport, then how is it going to grow? Especially in this generation and untapped markets?

Guess i was wrong about trivino... he IS slow, well faster than Nobre! Lol
B. Guerra finished 2nd, 1 sec behind the leader, either Fuchs or Kosciuszko I think. ;)Quote:
