SS6 to be run as a liaison section, SS7 delayed by 15 minutes due to accident of zero car.
What the hell is going on?
Vatanen zero car off, Max fine, Ari complaining his back and he has been airlifted to hospital for precautionary check. Possibly the same corner where Wilks went off this morning.
15 minutes delay for stage 7.
From IRC RAlly Radio FB
Information update - Stage six has been cancelled and will run as a liaison section. Stage seven will run with a 15-minute delay. Regarding the crew, Max Vatanen is not injured. Ari Vatanen has complained of back pains and has been flown to hospital by helicopter for what we understand are precautionary checks. More news when we get it.
Pitty for the Vatanen family :(

After Ari's big off in Argentina would imagine it's been fragile ever since.
Ari was asked about driving the 207 RC -"It's a car that a young man or an old man can drive...."

Campana's driving looked great when I watched the morning's live broadcast. Very neat lines and using the whole road in a very effective way. Pleasure to watch. :)
For now no image :(Quote:

I think Toni and Hankook need to do some testing before future rounds. It doesn't seem to be the car, +36s on Loix on this stage.Quote:

Ends day 2 as a leader again.
Long day tomorrow but at this rate Neuville should have it under control. Impressive.Quote:

It seems that all Škodas have chosen quite defensive tactics without any additional risking ..... maybe the spirit of Juho is missing. BUT: Tomorrow still 138 km to go!
Any news about Ari?
U could be right, Juho was never really happy if he weren't on the first place. Jan and Loix are happy but I understand them too they just want to secure there place too for getting good points in the standings. If Thierry will win this and that's for sure not confirmed with one more long day to come but if he does then he gets a big rival for everyone at IRC.Quote:

Following his accident on the sixth stage of Tour de Corse-E.Leclerc, where he was driving a Peugeot 207 RC Rally as the route-opening zero car, rallying legend Ari Vatanen will be taken to hospital in Marseille for an operation to stabilise the injury to his neck.
The Finn requires a routine operation to repair the injury he sustained in a heavy frontal impact, but is expected to make a complete recovery once the surgery has been carried out.
Vatanen is expected to be airlifted to hospital either tonight or tomorrow for the operation, as soon as suitable transport can be arranged. His son Max, who was with him in the car, was uninjured.Quote:

Neuville is a joy to watch, this boy will go far.
Regarding Gardemeister you can see from the onboards that he is lacking some commitment. Maybe he just doesn't have confidence in the car or tyres... I think you really have to put a lot of energy into these cars to get them to work properly and that's where he is losing out. Maybe still stuck in the ways of driving the old lazy WRCars?
99,9% imho.If you see differences with r3 cars maybe 100%Quote:
