It will be amazing to see United step ahead of Liverpool in league titles.
I wonder if Sir Alex may think of calling it a day now he has bettered Liverpool.
As of today Man United have stepped ahead of Liverpool in league titles.
Hooray, boo, whatever.
At the other end of the table, Blackpool could potentially stay in the Premier League by winning on the very last day of the season... against today crowned champions Man United
campeones :D
West Ham Relegated. Which is fair enough, but the way they sacked Grant was very disappointing.
Too sack him in the tunnel about 5 minutes after the game, then send him out to face the press is not right.
Under the "fair play" regulations, it's possible that Blackpool could be playing in the Europa League depending on how results and cards fall.
That'd be weird if it were to happen. A team from the Championship playing in Europe.
The way they did might be disappointing but it was well deserved, they should've sacked him 6 months ago ;)Quote:

Birmingham City will be allowed to play in the Europa League next season after being granted a licence by Uefa.
There were concerns the club's financial situation might prevent them from competing in the tournament.
Didn't Milwall play in the UEFA Cup a few years back after they reached the F.A. Cup final against Man Utd?Quote:

They played in the 2004 FA Cup Final and lost 3-0 against Man Utd. Poo Boots scored once, and Ruuuuuuud bagged a double. If memory serves me right, they lost in two legs against some Hungarian club.Quote:

One of the most interesting things to this newbie fan of soccer is promotion/relegation. It seems there are 81 different scenarios that could take place this weekend among the 5 teams involved. (There are actually a lot more once you take goal difference into account.) It's crazy. Blackpool could beat Manchester United and still be relegated or they could lose and still stay in the Premier League in certain scenarios.
If Blackpool were to beat Manchester United, would the Premier League then fine Manchester United for fielding a weaker side in the same way as they did when they fined Blackpool when they did against Villa earlier this season?Quote:

Of course the editors of this forum may wish to act if there's a superinjuction :D
Seem to remember Mark saying that it's a cheese eating surrender forum, so I think that theoretically we don't have to follow the English laws stopping people from referring to the Man Utd and Wales footballer that has been shagging Imogen Thomas.Quote:

That doesn't narrow it down enough.Quote:

Yes the forum is hosted in Paris, but it's not that simple. I own the forums and I'm in England therefore English law applies.Quote:

But look at Man U with Sir Alex, and how long the Barcelona core has been together and you see success can't just be created. It does need a few seasons of consistancy to get the best out of players.
Most teams would give their right arms to finish 2nd in the league and have won 2 major trophies in 2 years, with a couple of decent runs in the champions League.
Our manager has been at the club for 5 season now (appointed June 2006). The scary thing is how those 5 years don't seem to be that much, yet there are only 7 current managers in the league who have been at their club for longer. That's an amazing statistic really, only 5 managers from 92 clubs have been given more than 5 years at their club!!Quote:

Edit: Jaysus! Get this too, average durations for managers in the league:
Barclays Premier League 3.58
npower Championship 1.54
npower League One 1.65
npower League Two 1.68
Across all leagues for the last 5 seasons the average is 1.90!!!
Only Sir Alex and Arsene Wenger take that Premier League Average up as well.Quote:

What odds that Rooney is sent off.
Barcelona will dominate possesion what ever, and Rooney will run and chase and get really frustrated and end up kicking out at someone.
As for the game, I want Man U to win as an Englishman, but I love the way Barcelona play and if they perform like they can, they will win and I won't be sad about it.
Above all I am a Football fan and really the best team should win, and I think they will.
I want Barca to win. I love the way that they play and I'm more a fan of good football than I am a patriot. I won't begrudge United the victory though, they're also an exciting team to watch and far better that they win it than Chelsea or Real.
Good luck to Torquay as well in a more important game than the CL Final, the L2 playoff final. Never really liked Stevenage and TUFC coming up would mean a local game (easy to get to) and Plymouth Argyle being a league below both of their Devon rivals :D
I just wish it will be a great and exciting match with the best side to win
If Scholes starts I might watch from behind the sofa incase he gets a red card.
nice match so far... pretty footie, no dirty fouls, no acting... shame about Giggs not being called offside :p
Barca should be 3-1 up at half-time. But Man Utd are still in it. A very watcheable match. Reminds me of the Arsenal v Barcelona earlier in the competion.
Messsiiiiiiii :bananas:
