It was always going to be a close game though, Paraguay parked themselves in front of the goal and Italy are usually fairly tight at the back (ooh matron).
I'm not saying that Italy were awful (they'd walk all over England), just that they didn't really do a lot in the first half.

I must agree about first half, the problem was Marchisio playing in a wrong position. Stupid Lippi should've played Di Natale in that position, eventhough the best man there would've been Cassano, but he's not in the squad :mad:

Australia wasn't very good, but they weren't as bad as you make them out to be, with guys like Lahm, germany should and could slice through most defenses with relative ease.
