Consumers on the whole are fickle however, and it makes you wonder if stories like this will influence or have an impact over the next few months. I'm in the market for a new phone now and although the S3 has been on my list, I'm waiting to see the next iPhone. I don't really want to be waiting until December to see if Samsung could be hit again in the long term. If I buy an S3 and features start disappearing on it due to this court case, then I will feel it is no longer the product I had purchased. I don't want to be faced with ditching it after a couple of months if I take that route. There's rumors Google may sort to seek a deal with Apple to license certain features which would be the way forward for both companies. Microsoft struck a similar deal a while back which is why they haven't ended up in court, so I don't see why Android can't do the same.
