It is pretty obvious MW is there for on event test/ parts development/ data collection, in which case he is among the most experienced test and development drivers.

So, 6 years in Earth is around 2100-2200 days divide it with 686.98 and you get that he is at the beginning of his third year (around 3.1-3.2) :-P
