I'm amazed at how many people I see at work and in public who are JUST like that!!! But contrary to what's being suggested in the Microsoft ad, it's not the phones that people are addicted to, IMO, it's the social networks, emails, etc. If Microsoft's point in this ad is you won't have to worry about getting addicted to those things with the Win 7 phone, that might not be such a great thing to advertise. That's like a car maker telling people they'll save money on gas by buying their cars... because they lack horsepower and they're no fun to drive! What an ad: "buy our phone... you'll hate using it, so you'll spend less time on it." :DQuote:

If this Win 7 phone doesn't have those types of apps and I'd have to use a mini browser, similar to how I would have to execute a trade with my laptop or desktop PC, I can guarantee that I wouldn't be spending much time on it... because I'd take it back to the store and get my money back before the 30 day trial period was up.
Believe me, WinPho7 works just fine with social networks ;)Quote:

Really though, just have a look at the videos on pocketnow's youtube channel, do a search for Windows phone 7 and you'll just get videos for that http://www.youtube.com/user/pocketno...57/7JGHwaHcdKA
Since the average, illuminating Twitter message is going to take roughly the same amount of time to write (or read) no matter what smartphone you're using, I don't really get that ad. "8 ham sandwch. Ham wuz old. Feelin sick. Might die soon." won't go any faster on a Win 7 phone than anything else, AFAIK.
I can only compare how much faster dedicated apps are than using bookmarks in web browsers. I've never used or seen a Win 7 phone. But at the end of the day, the market will decide which approach smartphone consumers like best.
It is a fact that we do use our phones a lot.Quote:
