Took the words right off my fingers Peter! :D
according to todays autosport both bmw and ford are evaluating entering next years btcc with works entries! How good would that be, please god let this happen!
with the demise of the SCC could we see guys from that running older cars in BTCC, integras, the astra sport hatches, MG's etc. Mickey Doyle has proved it can be done on a shoestring budget, those MG's cant be worth any more than 40k a scc car new was about 45
Hasn't Ford been doing that for ages now?Quote:

I want Ford back in the BTCC so bad, I hope it does actually happen this year!! If it does happen they've got to use the Mondeo haven't they? Id say the focus is too tall and un-aerodynamic ajd they say the WRC Focus isnt that great in a straight line because of this.Quote:

Theres the ford rumours!! Knew it wouldnt be long. :)
Would love to see ford back as well. Would have to be the Mondeo though.
If the aim of going motor racing is to sell cars, why don't they use the Focus 4 door saloon? That's a car you never see on the roads and could benefit from promotion.
