600 km was a case of Peugeot S2000 engine.
Anyway it also matters how much the rebuild costs. For example Fiesta RRC and Fabia or Peugeot S2000 are in same class but engine rebuild of the RRC is 3-4x more expensive.

According to Autosport Portugal, (in last october) they said they will build a R5 car, but not was ever heard on that matter again. Pablo Macchi wrote in his facebook that they will have a R5 and a Maxi Rally (argentina top rally car) as well! Let's wait for itQuote:

An increase of the rebuilding interval from 1500 km to 2000 km don’t look so big at the first look but it mean a reduction of the rebuilding cost by 25%/km assuming same rebuilding cost as the Fiesta S2000.
The interval could be bigger of course.
And for a little championship like we have in Portugal 500 km it's almost a new season! 5 rallys with less than 100 km a season, you can do 4 instead of 3! That is money savingQuote:

polo10, you're right, I forgot the testing (my face is red know). And you're probably right about one of the 3Big ones as well, but they are not mandatory...! Even so, the car will last longer than a S2000!Quote:

Watching Ypres test footage (Ford&Pug), apparently R5 does not have the impact foams in the doors?
Reports that Prodrive staff are over in the Ypres service park looking at the R5s.
Nothing to speculate about the news, unfortunately.....
