In Ypres you need to use control fuel of British or Belgian Champs, and Belgian is Carless, UK not sure but almost sure not Total. So maybe during tests it was only part of development for VW to check modifications.Quote:

It's not fair to compare times of Breen and Camilli. Breen has been in Ypres many times, had a proper pre-event test. Camilli was in Ypres for the first time, no pre-event test in the region, and arrived just in time for recce.Quote:
