No problem, I suspect you replied to me. My Finnish colleges when I was working there had no problems being called Scandinavians... Maybe they were laughing behind my back? Hahaha.
Regardless, it matters not :)
The point of the matter is that national rallying in the only two nations in the world that has Swedish as official language does not allow for asphalt rally experience. (but Mirek is right regardless... Lappi should have asphalt experience by now given his stint at Skoda motorsport).
One nice tricky place in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2hA3XkeCVs
Every single rally driver has crashed at one point or the other... The number of crashes Meeke has had though is ridiculously high. Even Tänaks worst season in 2012 pales in comparison... And Tänak was very much dropped after that season, Meeke got a second season. I'd loose my jaw, never to refind it, should he get a third one.
Come on... This is beyond unimpressive.
Maurin big moment in the same place as Tänak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPHyrUJ9krg
Neuville onboard Arena Panzerplatte: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G1XFWySiAQ
Not really interesting except looots of spectators.
It´s not. name any young driver having same pace on every surface like Emil has. No way you´ll find any in Europe. He is a coming man if developing like he did last two yrs.
It depends what you want. 2nd place in the constructors championship or the only person worth showing in the Day 1 coverage for each day mixing it with the VWs.
They've got Ostberg for points and he's doing a good, Hirvonen-esque job in the overall championship. They're not going to find more consistent than that on the market and they're not going to find someone capable of Meeke's speed. Anyone saying "Meeke isn't that fast" thinks waaaaay too much of that Citroen.
It's a shame he's not able to put together finishes, but he is literally the only person able to take it to Ogier and Latvala on pace in an inferior car.
Back to the rally, everyone seems to be fulfilling their usual form of the season. Meeke and Tanak have been fast and crashed, Evans and Ostberg have been slow and consistent, Neuville has been very poor by the standards expected of him (regardless of the car, he should be comfortably beating Sordo if he's the clear #1) and Mikkelsen continues to show he's no Ogier or Latvala.
Some accidents from Panzerplatte with a perfect placed GoPro...
