It looks the guy know how to drive the car. To keep the car, which was close to uncontrolled oversteering on 6th gear, requires fantastic reaction and skills

Jan Kopecký and Pavel Dresler will do Rally Příbram in safety car...

I think it will be the R2.
I think it will be civil car Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo :-)
Ah, now I read. 35 minutes before first car and even before safety steward. So that really is to check the situation and not only to drive through fast.
Thats a quite good idea, because I am sure if a popular driver like Kopecky speak with fans in forbidden area, they have more respect, then to an unknown person in Safety Car. But in my opinion they should start later, ofcourse with the risk if they have to stop many times, for stage delay. But better delayed stage as a bad accident.
Maybe their choice of Kopecky is not random at all. I know that in Czech Republic they are always worried about security but after what happened in Barum maybe they want to make it as safe as possible.

Small video from some of the czech rally and rallysprint events made by me ;)
Rally Příbram starts tomorrow morning. Live results will be here: Rally P
Onboard of Valoušek from shakedown: V?e o Rally CZ, AutoCrossu, RallyCrossu, Kartingu ? MediaSport.cz
So, is the RBR stage included in the rally? :D
No, all variants have been out for quite many years.
Pech out in SS1 - mechanical problem (again).
Rally leader Valoušek crashed on SS6. Pechs problem this morning was again rear diff.
After very good performance, Petter Kristiansen retired cause of steering problems. According our meeting earlier this week, I think he must be really, really fed up right now.
Very good speed by Martin Koči so far, must say.
What a pity! Looks like Roman Kresta is also retired due technical probs in SS13. Does anyone have any better info about it?
What amount of casualties on this event :s
Fantastic 5th overall for 2WDs winner Jan Cerny
Yes, really strange rally in terms of retirements of top crews. Pech - rear diff, Valoušek - accident, Kresta - propshaft.
In the end Tarabus won the rally after a big fight with local Jan Dohnal who did probably best drive of his life. Third Orsák who was ill all the time. Despite having also a puncture he managed to stay in front of young Slovak Koči (who has car prepared by Orsák team). Fifth another local Jan Černý clearly fastest 2WD. Than Hudec, Peták (another local and co-organizer), Adolf and Emil Triner back in the little 1400 ccm Fabia (also local).

One era ends. Roman Kresta did his last full season. He will continue to manage his team and take new role in our national rally committee. Most likely he will start few events next year but no full program.
By the way one curiosity. Third year in a row the rally was decided on the last stage when second driver made 17 seconds on first one and took the lead. I don't know how it's possible :D
2010 - Tarabus from Valoušek
2011 - Kresta from Pech
2012 - Tarabus from Dohnal
This year it was SS13 and SS14 was canceled already after first run due to an oil on the road from one crashed car.
Miroslav Jakeš will drive Fabia S2000 from JM Racing in Rally Vsetín!

What happens with Valousek? Big damage? Because he is on entry list Waldviertel Rally end of month ...
No big damage. He will start in my opinion.
Good news! Thanks mirek! You come to Waldviertel?
Most likely not. I'll have probably a business travel in that date but it's not fixed now.
How was Kopecky with the Fabia MC? I guess 1.2TSI?
He was checking safety, not racing. His work was very helpful in the accident of Valoušek. It could have ended worse.
Mirek, have you heard what caused the off? It was a bit weird in my opinion, way too fast into a junction.Quote:

Very nice to see a professional respected driver on the security side. Something for Marc Duez or Bruno Thirty in southern Belgium.

Hups, it's not Sunday today :D So it starts tomorrow...
Any predictions about tomorrows rally... Looks like Tomas Kostka is not in, so who will be the biggest favourite - Tlustak, Odlozlik, Sykora, or flamboyant Jakes?
..and how will the weather be in Eastern Moravia?
