I'm sure someone from Germany with results records will be able to help. I do not speak German but the wording effectively says "German Automobile Club. National Governing Body for Motorsport in Germany". I'm not sure whether the last line is an address or some sort of registration of the car for motorsport.Quote:

OK, that was what was at the back of my mind - that the Cooper S was not homologated in Group 1 until later (1275 only ever was), so "G1" seems likely to refer to a German national class, not the FIA Grouping (which might help narrow it down for anyone who has results). (The oil cooler was not fitted as standard until later either - only just in time for 1966 I think - so if Trifels 64 was an International event, the car ran in Group 2 or 3 of the old Appendix J)Quote:
