German Phillip Knof(winner of the 2014 Citroën Racing Trophy Junior in Germany) on the pre-entrylist of nex week Rallye du Touquet: do you know if he runs in the french Citroën Racing trophy too this season
So, Loeb in Epernay is confirmed. He will be codrived by Sandra Rebout, the sister of his wife. Séverine Loeb will codrive Dominique Rebout, husband of Sandra Rebout.
If you want to fight with Loeb, you can still enter the event :) (180 entries accepted). The rally is in the vineyards in Champagne, quite a nice event. It's the first round of the French 2nd Division champ.
This week end, only one event in France : the Rallye Régional de Vaison la Romaine.
Small win for Frédérik Casciani, with Mégane Maxi Kit Car :

Good second spot for Paul Clier (BMW 318). Third is Lanciani, with a 206.

Not a good race for the two 207 S2000, driven by Jean-Luc Morel and Franck Lions. Morel (1) had some mechanical troubles at the beginning of the race, and finished only 14th, whereas Lions (2) was leading before retiring.

By the way, Rally Corsica WRC will be part of the french tarmac championship as replacement for Limousin another great news :D
For Corsica, will it be as the Grand National, with only two days of stages counting, or will the crews run all the race ?
Belgian Eric Cunin enters Epernay, with a Fabia WRC !
Mauffrey tested the 208 R5.

Salanon is today at the Rallye régional Baldomérien with a Fiesta R5 ;)
It's not really a test for Touquet next week, because he will drive a Fiesta WRC there, not an R5 :mark:
So, this week end was a big one in France. It races more or less everywhere :)
Rallye National de Haute Provence (as its name says, it's in Provence) :
Easy win for Eric Fanguiaire, who rents for this race a Fiesta WRC in Italy. He doesn't have an serious opponent, and win by 2' on the Clio R3 of Belhomme (first race with this car). Third is Ciaramito with a Clio S1600. I have to notice the presence of Henry Massaad, lebanon driver, with a Clio RS R3T.

And a victory for Delecour, with an Audi Quattro, in VHC !

Rallye National de la Vienne (center of France) :
Quite a better field of car. Frédéric Martin rented an old Impreza WRC to FJ, Jean-Charles Beaubelique did a warm-up for Le Touquet, and Jérôme Galpin did his local event (he was a good driver in the beginning of the 00') with a FJ car (FJ is his family team). Cosson, good national driver with Porsche (ex hillclimb master), was here too.
Finally, and logically, Beaubelique won, by a few seconds on Cosson and Galpin. The other are far away.

Rallye Régional Baldomérien : in Rhône Alpes, close to Saint-Etienne.
As always in Rhône Alpes, good field of car. Salanon started, as said Tom, 2 207 S2000 (Monnet and Philippot). In total, 140 cars started.
Salanon of course won, but Monnet did a great job and lost only 30". Pascal Berard, last winner of Clio Cup, finished 3rd.

2 Arnaud Monnet (207 S2000) 30"

Rallye Régional Cathare : In Narbonne, Languedoc-Roussillon, north of Catalunya.
One S2000, for a Guadeloupe driver, Philippe Ninou. But he didn't played an important role. It was a 2WD fight, with the victory for the BMW 318 of Riso, beating the good Sébastien Virazel (Clio R3) and the S1600 of Clemençon. Rémi Jouines did a warn-up for Opel Cup, but it didn't work really well ...

Rallye Régional du Pays Ajaccien : here we are in Corsica, close to Ajaccio.
As usual, a lot of big cars rented in Italy (1 Fiesta R5 for Santoni, 3 207 S2000 for Aguzzi, Lanfranchi and Quilici, 2 208 T16 for Succi and Leandri, 1 Fiesta RRC for Micheli). It was impossible to fight with them, even for the good Guglielmi with a Clio R3, who finished 5th.
Santoni won by a big margin on Aguzzi and Leandri, a disappointing 3rd.
1 Paul-Antoine Santoni (Fiesta R5)
2 Tony Aguzzi (207 S2000) 36"
3 Jean-Matthieu Leandri (208 T16) 39"

Rallye Régional du Pays Avallonais : here we are in Burgundy.
More than 100 entries, with 4 207 S2000 for Bouhot, Lecki, Dapoigny and Deroy. Other top contender is Reutter with a Porsche, or Daniel Fores with a 306 Maxi !
Reutter quite easilly defeated the S2000. Great drive by Nicolas Grosjean, 4th with a 106 S16.

2 Etienne Bouhot (207 S2000) 21"

vino_93 you're awesome,perfect reports.
Finally not, there has been a new rule (due to drivers protests) to allow cars until they are available for historic competition :) So BMW M3, Kit Car, Impreza 555 and all the others will run for a few years !
Talking about Fores, he was a good driver, finishing 2nd in Saxo Trophy 1999, beaten only by Loeb :) He was one of these guys, quite old, who like to do some trophies to face the young guys.
In 2003 he acquired the 306 Maxi, and had many victories in french cup. But now, the 306 is old, and difficult to maintain in good state. He tried to sell it, but don't find everyone who wants to buy it.
I really like the colour of his car :

Charles Martin was testing for le Touquet today.
Not a good beginning ... I'm quite curious to see what he can achieve with T16. He was a promising driver, but then arrived Camilli and Rossel, who outshined him. I think he can do good things in ERC. Maybe not as Abbring last year, but I hope better than Ancian.
For sure he will be able to be in top 5, otherwise it would be really disappointing.
I talked more about fighting with Breen, the Skoda, Kajetanowicz ... if he doesn't do this, probably his career will end, as Ancian ...
Video Shakedown Touquet :)
http://www.rallye-sport.fr/videos-ra...-touquet-2015/
So first day of race in Le Touquet.
First : Brunson is off. Anew, after Côte Fleurie ... seems not at ease.
So Cuoq is logically leading.
Quite surprise to see Roché 2nd, at only 30". I didn't expect him so close. It seems he matches very well with the Fiesta. Hope to seem him doing the whole season.
Salanon 3rd ... he is for sure a fast driver, but he doesn't like Le Touquet. I thought he would be largely 2nd, but no. Let's see tomorrow ...
In R5, Amourette is amazing. He is leading in front of Martin. Amourette was a top guy in Saxo Trophy just after Loeb passed. He had an official drive in S1600 championship, but whereas Loeb turned pro, he turned amator and never had more chance. Probably if his career happened now, he would have had a chance in JWRC. But that was another time.
He still remains faithful to Citroën, and was a top guy with a C2 S1600, and then with R3. Le Touquet is one of his favourite race (he won it in 2002), but for his first with a 4WD, against Peugeot official car, that's really good.
Martel is a good 6th. He confirms his progression. Tanghe with the old Celica is 7th :)
Michel with Porsche (of Nantet's team) is leading 2WD, with a small margin on Guigou (Clio IV R3).
As planned, Rossel is easily leading CRT.
Great fight between Bernardi and Fostier in Adam Cup, with Rémi Jouines third. Nothing surprising there too.
In CRTJ (which is French Junior Champ too), which is starting his second year there, is easily leading. Nothing exciting on the podium, as they are all repeating. But Anthony Fotia, 4th, is doing his 2nd rally only. His father was a good driver in the south part of France in the 90's.

why maurin didn't participate?how was martin's drive?
I think Maurin wants to concentrate on WRC2
But he will run a few rallies of the french gravel championship too(starting with next month Terre de Causses) ;)
French cup reports :
Rallye National du Pays du Gier (near to Saint Etienne, Rhône Alpes)
Former event of swiss champ. This year it was only french cup, as the swiss were in Italy. So of course, the field of cars was not as good as the previous year. But there was still a great level. 2 S2000 : one Skoda for Despinasse (first time with this car coming from Austria) and a 207 for Ginhoux. So top crews with smaller cars : Poudrel with an old M3, Peyrache and Gellier with 318 Compact, Badel with a Clio Williams, Berard and Prevalet in R3, and so on ...
Despinasse easily won, and that's not a surprise, as he is a good driver. Badel finished 2nd ... you will discover him in french championship later. A really fast guy. Good third place for Prevalet, whereas Berard is only 6th... Latour achieve a great Top 5, not easy to reach.
1 Kevin Despinasse (Fabia S2000)
2 Thomas Badel (Clio Williams F2000) 1'02
3 Mickaël Prevalet (DS3 R3) 1'46
4 Bertrand Latour (Mégane RS) 2'02
5 Gilles Cellier (318 Compact F2000) 2'37
...
Some other good drive by Michaud Maillet, 7th wil Clio Ragnotti, or Barbier, 8th with a 106 F2/13.

Rallye National du Vallon de Marcillac (a bit in the middle of nowhere, close to Rodez, where is Rallye du Rouergue)
The famous french chef Cyril Lignac oppened the race with a 207 S2000. Another was from Cyril Dumoulin, a guy rarely running the last years.
The top crews were Jean-Michel da Cunha, with an Evo VII, Michaël Lobry (Evo X R4), or Julien Marty (Evo IX R4). da Cunha retired, which let Lobry at ease to win, against Marty, and Chivaydel.
1 Michaël Lobry (Lancer X R4)
2 Julien Marty (Lancer IX R4) 1'14
3 Jean-Laurent Chivaydel (318 Compact) 1'22
4 Jean-Philippe Hot (Clio R3) 2'58

Rallye Régional des Roches Brunes (Côte d'Azur, close to Fréjus)
Great field of car with 2 good drivers : Cyril Audirac, with a 206 S1600, and Alain Deveza, gravel specialist, with a 207 S2000.
Unfortunately for Audirac, his car burnt ... whereas he was leading.

CRAZY entrylist for next week's Rallye d'Epernay Vins de Champagne
http://www.rallye-sport.fr/liste-des...depernay-2015/
i was reading to motorsport monday that rally touquet is the only round of the championsip that takes place on the north of the country, the other events are on the central-south or south.why this happens?
I believe Vino has made a post about that some time ago.
Yes it's true.
To be honest ... I don't know. There's plenty of nice places in the north / east / north-west, so if FFSA wants, it could ...
There was Rallye Alsace-Vosges before, but it ended with Rallye de France - Alsace.
The rally in the south were in french championship for years. They appear to be some classic event, like Cévennes, Mont Blanc, Antibes, Var, ... so the FFSA don't want to eject one to put another in the place, even if events like La Rochelle (west), Epernay or Vosgien (East) could probably join the french championship if there was a spot.
Moreover, most of the amator crews entering the champ come from South-East of France. What is logic, as all the races are there ... But it's used as an argument to keep all the events in the south. And that's why Macon (close to Lyon, south of Burgundy) had a spot some years ago, whereas La Rochelle was its main opponent (and a really nice place).
Epernay shows that there's a lot of guy from north / east who wants to do national events. But as it's a long way to come to the D1 events ... they will focus on D2. Most of the crews with WRC/S2000 who will do D2 (and play for the title) will only race the northern part of France events (Epernay, Ternois, Dieppe, Bretagne, La Rochelle, ... ), with maybe one spot in the south, as Montagne Noire or Grasse.
And this year, what was the westest event (Limousin) is cancel ... and it's Corsica which takes the spot...
French cup :
Rallye National du Chablisien : new rally, run in Burgundy, close to Auxerre, and not so far from Langres (which host a gravel round)
The field was low, with only 48 cars starting. Really rare in France to have so less cars. But there was some good drivers : Fores with the 306 Maxi, Guillerot and Fauguet with 207 S2000. Guillerot was unbeatable. After the retirements of Fauguet and Fores, there were spots on the podium for Bardou and Buisson, who did a great race with his small Clio RS.
http://forum-rallye.com/uploads/mont...1427051963.jpg
1 Romain Guillerot (207 S2000)
2 Maxence Bardou (DS3 R3) 1’04
3 Fabrice Buisson (Clio RS) 1’19
4 Jacky Leroy (Lancer IX) 1’42
5 Emmanuel Melocco (207 R3) 2’51
…
Rallye Régional de Printemps : here we are in Lorraine, really close to Nancy.
The field was even smaller than Chablisien … hard time in East. Only 34 crews … This event is in trouble, it’s only the second time it is run since 2010.
2 good crews : Paul Reutter with a Porsche, and Dominique Rebout with 207 S2000. We can talk about Eric Cunin (French, not the Belgian) and Alcaraz. But none of them can fight with the first two, who easily dominated the race. At the end, it’s Reutter who won :

Rallye Régional des Vignes de Régnié : we go south, between Mâcon and Villefranche sur Saône, in Rhône Alpes but close to the south of Burgundy.
A decent field of cars, 141 starters! Three top crews: Cédric Robert, with a 207 S2000, Rémi Risaletto with and Escort RS Cosworth, and Yves Pezzutti, with a 306 Maxi.
Logic is respected, with these 3 in the first three places.

Rallye Régional des Vins du Gard : just stick to Lédenon, where there’s a track, and between Nîmes and Avignon.
There was a good field of cars, 118 entries. The top crew was Nicolas Liron, running an ex-MRF Tyres Fabia S2000. There was a DS3 R5 for a Laurent Brunel, and I think it was the first DS3 R5 running a French cup event. Other top crews were Jean-Yves Antherieu with an old R3, Raphaël Astier with an Z3, or Vivens, top guy in F2000. No surprise with the success of Liron, in front of Vivens. In the top 5 we can notice a 307 F2000, really rare car.

Rallye Régional ASAB : first round of La Reunion championship, but round of french cup too, as all rallies there.
As the rally is regional, the champion, Stéphane Sam-Caw-Fèvre, couldn’t enter with his 206 WRC. So he ran with a Xsara F2000. So it was more or less impossible for him to win against the Lancer Evo X of Bruni or Picard, the Clio R3 of Ramsany, Law Long, the DS3 R3 of Barret, the 306 Maxi of Unia … there was a Fabia S2000, whole new chassis, for Gangate, but he is not so good driver, and the car ended in a deep …
The french-italian Bruni took the win. Ahead him, there was a big battle for podium.
