Probably if it's an exclusive contract with Lotus. He already was not so much supported in CiR and in ERC I think he got no support at all from them so..

Yes, Abarth ended in CIR already before 2011.

Btw, Elfyn Evans won the Pirelli Star Driver Challenge in the Bologna Motorshow today.
It was in fact 1:1 in final with Jan Černý but Elfyn won in the second criteria - had better time in both finals.
Here all results from PSD - qualifying of 6 drivers, than semi-final of two pairs (Ewans-Korhonen and Černý-Crugnola) and than final:

Finally Solberg is absent from Memorial Bettega
On the free practice yesterday, Meeke was fastest ahead of Latvala and Pedersoli...
In the Kärcher Trofeo S2000, today, Andrea Aghini was fastest ahead of Umberto Scandola and Matteo Gamba during first practice...
Portuguese driver Bernardo Sousa at the wheels of a 207 S2000 at next week's Rally Ciocchetto ;)

Petter Solberg wins the Bettega Memorial rally, with Dovizioso a fantastic 2nd.

Lotus Exige lives! First video from a test on a racing track in Italy. The test driver was Andrea Maselli. The regular driver hasn't been chosen yet, but among candidates are Luca Rossetti and Bernardo Sousa. I keep my fingers crossed for Rox. Only he will be able to show if the car has potential or not. The car is going to be homologated in March. The debut rally may be Mille Miglia. Good luck to this project!

Claudio Berro was speaking about 1st April as homologation date.
No news about Peugeot Italia/Racing Lions and Ucci for 2012 yet
Tom, I hope Peugeot Italia will not dismiss the winning horse.....Andreucci is still, regardless of his age the fastest Italian rally driver(especially on the gravel).Quote:

Luca Betti will use Peugeot from Racing Lions on Janner Rallye, same like last year on Antibes...
Does anyone know if Basso has some plans for this year beyond Proton in WRC?
I don't think three events is enough for him...
Just read today on Rallylink forum: Paolo "Ucci" Andreucci with Racing Lions again in 2012 :bounce:
Official press release soon me guesses ;)
Big question mark: who will he have as contenders in CIR  I doubt we will see Luca "Rox" Rossetti, who officially stopped to be Abarth driver though :(
More and more rumours tell Umberto Scandola official Skoda Italia driver in CIR 2012 :)
Indeed Tom, as also some rumours about Elwis Chentre driving Fabia S2000 (with ''his'' Vieffecorse Team). Scandola & Chentre in a competetive car would maybe give some headache to Mr.Perfect Andeucci. Maybe....Quote:

After all, maybe this year CIR will be better, with more interesting drivers (and cars) to follow.
News from italian drivers & teams are quite rare these days, whereas Ciocco Rally start next month :s
Rally Ronde Val d'Orcia was firstly scheduled for past week-end, but was finally postponed to next one(because of weather; too much snow) :mark:
Paolo Andreucci should take part to it in his Racing Lions 207 :p : and a new codriver apparently
See 3° Ronde della Val d'Orcia | Scuderia Balestrero
Matteo Gamba full CIR season in the Balbosca 207 S2000 :bounce:
Last time he ran CIR was in the Clio R3 me thinks
Otherwise, not a lot of news before start of season(Rally Ciocco end of next month) :mark:
Does anybody have an idea how many top italian drivers plan to compete in San Marino?...especially when it will be held only 1 week after gravel CIR rally Rally di Citta Gubbio (only 100 km near). And is this fact good or bad? And why did they changed the calender? In first unofficial version of calender it was San Marino instead of Rally Citta di Gubbio as fifth round of CIR.
This weekend Rally del Carnevale, entry list:
http://www.balestrero.it/sites/defau...o_iscritti.pdf
First test for Matteo Gamba before CIR 2012 starts. And another prominet guest: Manu Guigou. It will be interesting to observe, if he will be faster with Megane N4 as ''second league'' Italian drivers with N4 cars. What can he do against Rovatti in Clio R3??
Anyway, oweral victory should be easy for Gamba.....
Is it Ucci's new livery we can see on Autoklub's article

I hope yes, looks fantastic in black
Rally del Carnevale-as I predict an easy and convincing victory for Matteo Gamba. French guest M.Guigou showed a solid impression, unfortunately he recived 40sec time penalty, but even without this penalty he was not able to match M.Rovatti in Clio R3.
Look at the first minute of short video-Gamba (Nb.2, yellow 207), what an attraction:
Matteo Gamba domina al 31° Rally del Carnevale - ProvaSpeciale.it
Damn it! He really is a great driver!
The black livery and main sponsor Pirelli, had to use the Rally of Radicofani - Val D'Orcia, but in the end Paul was not the course, because delayed by one week from initial date, due to difficulties in reaching the small town in the Apennines (was the period in which half Italy was below 2 meters of snow).
So that was a test livery, then do not even know if the CIR.
Other riders at the start, the Sicilian driver, Fofò di Benedetto on Peugeot 207 S2000 (only run on asphalt), Gabriele Cogni (Peugeot 207 R3T - we talk about all the CIR), Max Rendina (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X). A few more news about others as Alessandro Perico (ERC or CIR), Renato Travaglia and Andrea Navarra.
In the Land Trophy (TRT) some protagonists are Fabio Gianfico (Italian Champion of Group N in 2011), Sardinian driver, Giuseppe Dettori, who will almost certainly at the start of a Fiesta S2000. Even in stand-by other drivers like Teemu Arminen, Daniel Batistini, Mauro Trentin.
In TRA, now only certain Vellani and Spartaro Peugeot 207 S2000, the rest just rumors, as Felice Re and Claudio Addis of Citroen C4 (but almost certainly will become official soon), yet unknown Luca Pedersoli (WRC or American Championship)
I thought there was a DS3 WRC for Luca Pedersoli this season
Hello!
I am new here in the forum, my english is not the best but I still hope you understand me.I wonder, where and what will be Piero Longhi raced this year?
