Hi Pieter,
Sky Sports have the contract for all Sprint Cup races again this year including the Bud Shootout, the duel 125's and the All Star race.
NASN have announced that they are not showing the Nationwide series this year which I am peed off about, as yet I cannot find anyone that is showing it (or at least anyone who has announced they have the rights).
NASN are still showing Nascar Now this year, but thats the only coverage they will have according to their website.
Hopefully someone picks up the Nationwide rights, Sky may be interested as they have been happy with the Sprint Cup or maybe Motors TV might get it back like a couple of years ago. I hope someone says something soon as Daytona is fast approaching!
First few races of the season:
07th February - Budweiser Shootout - SSX
12th February - Gatorade Dual At Daytona - SS3/HD3
15th February - Daytona 500 - SS2/HD2
22ndFebruary - AutoClub - SS2/HD2
01st March - Las Vegas - SS3/HD3
08th March - Atlanta - SS3/HD3
22nd March - Bristol - SSX
29th March - Martinsville - SS3/HD3
with the 2.5hr weekly world motorsport programme having had it's last programme, it will be interesting to see what motorsport they put in it's place(if any, and there'd better be some or i'll be firing off some e-mails to sky sports)
Sure this isn't just during the 'off-season' ?? I have no idea, genuinely asking.Quote:

They tried to get me to take 2 HD boxes to replace our 2 Sky+ boxes but I already pay them £57 a month (plus an extra £13 a month for Setanta/NASN) and they wanted an extra tenner a month for it.
I said if they cant give a customer since 1994, who spends over £650 a year with them for TV, HD for nothing then I didn't want it.
I do really lol!
It was our mega old Digi box that went. I think we will be paying £6 extra for the HD. At some point in the near future HD will become free. Probably sometime after Freeview goes HD (has that happened yet?). With NASN no longer having coverage of the Nationwide series could be worth ditching them and getting HD. Unless you watch other stuff on NASN ?.
Yeah I want to keep the Setanta package for Nascar Now, Premier League footie, FA Cup, England games and boxing. Plus Setanta are meant to be looking into showing Speedway (sky have the rights to the british leagues so Setanta are reportedly looking at Polish league action).Quote:
