For the first time, there will be results of a Belgian Rally on rallytiming.nl.
They expect much rain for tomorrow, so I think Deferm, Debackere and Lietaer will be before Snijers at the end of the rally. Last year, the winner was Deferm before Debackere in the same cars as now. ;)
Guys, keep Your eye also on Miroslav Jakeš in Lancer Evo 9 on rally Jeseníky. He is another very young talented guy! It looks promissing with Czech rally future (18 years old M. Semerád, Bujáček, Černý and Jakeš ;) :)
Rallysprint Jeseníky in finish. All stages won by Roman Odložilík! Great performance from young guns - Orsák (with 24 years he is also young) second, M. Semerád third, Mirek Jakeš fifth, Černý twelfth (3rd 2WD with 206RC A7). Bujáček had technical problem and retired.

In Haspengouwrally in Belgium there is a lot of drama allready, Patrick Snijers retired in his Porsche at the start of second stage and Casier retired with broken engine on very first stage. Pitty for RGRS who worked like hell to get the car ready after Casier's off in San Remo. Deferm is leading the rally after two stages with 11 sec from Lietaer, both in Subaru WRC's, third is Melissa Debackere in her Corolla WRC but allready 28 sec behind. Fouth is Bob Colsoul in his Mitsu Evo9 Gr.A. ;)
By the way, the reason of Snijers' retirement was a broken drive-shaft. :( It happened just after the start off the second stage.

At the end of first day in Haspengouwrally, after six stages the positions seem allready fixed, also because off the retirements of three principal contenders: Snijers, Casier and Lietaer. Lietaer had to stop because of a beginning fire in his Impreza WRC. So this is how it looks:
1. Deferm (Subaru Impreza WRC)
2. Debackere (Toyota Corolla WRC) at 1'09"7
3. Colsoul (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo8 Gr.A) at 1'30"4
4. Lefevere (BMW M3) at 1'47"1
5. Lhonnay (Misubishi Evo9 Gr.N) at 2'25"8
6. Smelcher (Porsche GT3) at 2'45"3
7. De Keyser (Subaru Impreza Gr.N) at 3'07"8

Waht a F..... K rally :confused: Brand new Engine from Lehmann broke just 2 km into stage 1..!! what a drama for the RGRS VW team.. after all the hard work from all mechanics to repair the car after San Remo.... nothing was left to take any risk... all was new on the car !!.... i hope the Bad Luck devil will leave Belgium soon.. or choose another team to play with..Quote:

Victory in Haspengouwrally, the penultimate round of Belgian championship, was taken by Hubert Deferm in his Impreza WRC, in front of Bob Colsoul (Mitsu Evo8 Gr.A) and Melissa Debackere (Toyota Corolla WRC); This lady is taking the lead in the championship with a margin of 3 points to Deferm and 14 points to Snijers (retired with broken drive-shaft). All will be decided in the last rally, namely the Condrozrally, wich will take place on7,8 and 9 november.
Also in Gr.N championship there is nothing final, because Lhonnay (Mitsu Evo9) took victory in Haspengouw and takes the lead in championship with only one point in front off De Keyser (Subaru Impreza N12), who finished second Gr.N in Haspengouw.
I am looking forward allready to Condroz rally, where the entrylist will be very nice. ;)
I mentioned Miroslav Jakeš as another young Czech promising driver. I forgot to point out that he is 2008 European hill climb champion with gr.N Evo 9! Tomorrow, Mirek has 19th birthday.
Czech automobile federation prohibited all licensed drivers, co-drivers, timekeepers, result workers and all other licensed person from participating on amateur competitions. They also prohibited to lend timekeeping equipment even in situation when organizers are members of Autoclub of Czech Republic. They threaten by disciplinary comitee to all who trespass the prohibition. That is probably the end of 2008 season of very popular Rally Cup and Volný pohár - non-expensive competitions without useless bureacracy. That is realy shame...

Sierra Morena is a new rallye in the championship, and in Spanish championship you have to keep 8 results from 11 rallyes so...for some drivers this rallye is not very important...Quote:

European rallycross champion (almost double in the moment) Tomáš Kotek will start on Rallysprint Vsetín on 25th October! He will use same car he is used to - Civic Type-R N3. There is a possibility of switching discipline for next season :)

Terrible news during the Rally di Como(Italian championship)shakedown today !!!!!
Andrea Navarra heavily crashed his Abarth Grande Punto S2000(and it looks it's unrepairable for this evening start of the rally)and Paolo Andreucci also crashed and broke a wheel of his Mitsubishi Lancer GrN(but it looks Ralliart will be able to repair) :(

Hmmm, terrible is a bit misplaced. I had a scare when reading this.
In Friulli Rosetti crashed his 207 in shakedown. He won the event 2 days later ;)
Btw, the start of the event is this evening on 19:01, that's why Navarra will not be able to start.
