Seems the driver's are now settling for their current positions already.
Any opinions on Julian Porter's suggestion of awarding a point for each fastest stage time ?
On a road car you should reset the steering angle sensor when doing wheel alignment, might have just forgot that
This discussion have been here so many times, there are pros and cons.
Positive: it gives opportunity to collect some extra points and gives things always interesting, no massive nursing from everyone.
Negative: road position is not equal, specially on Friday for championship leader it's quite a penalty.
Additionally, probably getting late to stage should not be allowed to score points then. Otherwise no rally2 driver starts on time.
With current dust problems Hyundai should drop Tänak's start position further from Neuville to give him better vision.
That is already done in JWRC and I am not big fan of it, though it can be implemented in various ways. Since there already is Power Stage to cater for that one, out-and-out very fast outburst, I don't see any reason to expand the practice. It would not increase the excitement, drivers aren't exactly cruising now (except those who are way back and have rejoined only for PS points) and they aren't stupid enough to jeopardize bigger score they'd bag by finishing for small potential prize for stage win. Hence, only those with nothing to lose would go for the points.
