Thanks WRC1!
Just came back from Arboe Rally, with one stage to go Waldherr is in the lead with 49 seconds in front of Baumschlager who will probably become the Austrian champion for the 7th time!
I was at the Treglwang stage,I saw a lot of action (even though the 3rd Treglwang stage was cancelled, why???)
5. round of the danish championship, result:
1 7 Martin Johansen Suzuki Swift Super 1600 (6) 01:20:29.936 00:00.000
2 6 Ib Kragh Renault Clio S1600 (6) 01:20:30.483 00:00.547
3 4 Max Christensen Subaru WRX Sti (4) 01:21:02.909 00:32.973
4 3 Christian K. Jensen Subaru WRX Sti 14 (4) 01:21:04.762 00:34.826
close call both in the 2WD and 4WD, Martin beating Ib on the final stage with 2 seconds. Martin is now the danish champion in 2WD Sport (Unofficial).
Brian Madsen was involved in a road accident during the rally. He was hit from behind by a "civilian". He and his codriver are okay. But the car is heavily damage.

Rest in peace, Kathleen :(

what a Great weekend... :) ..http://www.renegeorges.be/images/Andy01.jpg

1st Place and 3rd Place for the VW Polo's in Austria... what a great show of Andreas Waldherr and What a drive of Kris Rosenberger to fight back from 20th place to finish in 3rd overall and retalke the 2nd place in the Austrian championship....
ps: the Austrians know whow to celebrate a good result... still feel dizzy.. :D
I was on Saturday in Bassano del Grapa to see their rally-entrylist was fantastic and also the race was very nice. I must admit-drivers in WRC are not a regular drivers (they rent yust for one or two local races), so they are not so spectacular as top-drivers in TRA (Re, Silva, Musti, Botta, Porro...), but newerless, I rather see one WRC car as ten N4 cars...
One interesting thing: in team GMA, which owns Xsara WRC, was a technichal adviser Mr.Phillipe Bugalski !! Nice to see him in one local race in Italy...Piccolotto, who rented Xsara, defenitly recived some usefull informations regarding how to drive this rocket....
Victory for Sergio Vallejo in front of Enrique Garcia-Ojeda and Luis Monzon(transmission problems for him)at the Rallye Villa de Llanes(spanish championship)last week-end
Retirement with broken engine for Fiat driver Miguel Fuster...
It was indeed very good race for RGRS in Austria Jack. What are the plans for the rest of the current season and are there allready some plans for next year. It would be good if the Polo could do some more IRC rounds. ;)Quote:

Congratulations to Rene Georges Team!!!
Last weekend I was at amateur rally near my home. It was a part of very popular amateur Rally Cup. To ilustrate how popular it is - 286 various crews competed in first three events! As it is very cheap to enter this series, many Polish crews are among them (one of them rolled just infront of me on saturday :) ). Maybe someone here is interested in it :)
Here is a summary video of first half of the season:

Thanks to all.... Last year was the 1st year of the development for the Asphalt version of the Polo S2000 so many things changed and we have learned a lot... and now we see the results of that like in Austria where the 2 Polo's run as a clock, and also in San Remo was Casier on his way to a strong performance until he discovered that a mountain is quite solid and does not moove away...Quote:

Mathias Kahle will start on gravel rally Lausitz with Porsche 911 GT3! The only problem is said to be tyres. He said there are practicaly no available gravel tyres in such dimmensions so that he must use winter tyres :D

Mirek, could say something more about that championship, what are the regulations,is it attractive?
I am asking all these questions because here in Croatia we are trying to make a championship just like that.
The first season already finished and it is called ORC (Open Rally Challenge).
ORC rally are attractive and perfectly organized with lots of people but there are very small entries (usually 20-30 cars).
urabus-denoS2000: I don't know much but as far as I know there are categories A1-A4 according to engine volume and H1-H4 for historical cars (1986 and older) + race of regularity (I don't know how is it in English). There are 6 events of Rally Cup (there is also another series called Volný pohár = Free cup). For example last rally had 2 stages both about 10 km gone twice in both directions, that is around 80 km. Only five best results are counted. Crew members must be 18 years old, drivers must have driving licence. Cars must have some safety equipment like rollcage (except regularity class), fire extinguisher, at least 4-points seat belts etc. Entry fee is usualy maximum 200 Euro and less for smaller cars.
And here is video of my friend from Rally Pardubice ;)

It is more or less the same here.Quote:

The only problem is that there are no "ORC cars" (cars specifically built for ORC),all of the cars are FIA homologated. But guys are starting to built ORC cars in their garages and things should be better in the not so distant future
Great video Mirek from rally Rally Pardubice. Much nice and first time seen cars!! :)
Josef Peták and Vladimír Barvík were carying winners of autosport.cz pickems in Sosnová racing arena. A lot of drifting action on a video (yes, biiig drifts with S2000 as well):

Romanian rally driver Manu Mihalache (6th at the moment in the overall standings) is going to cover his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX with autographs of his own fans. With this 'autographed livery' he will compete in the final round of season in the national rally championship, Raliul Iasi 600 Prista Oil.

I must say I am a bit dissapointed since Vaclav Pech,Jaroslav Orsak,Karel Trojan and Claudio de Cecco were all expected but the list is not so bad
BTW Czech members, what can we expect from Jan Černy, never heard of him before
Ja is very young tallented Czech driver (in June he was 18). This year he was competing with old Peugeot 206 RC in A7, you can look at result of Rally Prachatice, which was on water (http://mmcr.vysledky-rally.cz/rallys...tice/9abs.php). But he has never starts abroad. But in future he can be very, very good ;)Quote:

I'm happy to see Jan Černý in S1600 even it will be his first ever drive with S1600 and abroad as well.
Urabus, You don't read my comments about our championship, I mention Černý almost every rally :D
Where can I find a full table of Spanish tarmac Champ 2008 results, rally by rally? How comes the Porsche GT3 997 is leading, did the others get problems or is it just dominating?
