Oh no....Problem for Scandola... 2 min behind Ucci now.
yes... maybe an engine problem... I think he will retire...
Nothing new in Italy, as it almost look like a surprise with Scandola;a destroyed engine in Umberto's Fiesta interrupted his excellent driving..... but is always a big ???? how fast was Andreucci really pushing.
Anyway, Andreucci leading after the first day, yust nine seconds behind him Roxsy; Pisi is almost two minutes behind on the third place-that shows real skills of Andreucci and Rossetti, they are from ''other planet'' compare to others.
Both DS3's are again showing their superiority in the 2WD class. Well done Citroën !!!
That's not over yet: Ucci has only 9"2 advantage over Rox for 5 stages left tomorrow ;)
I think Andreucci will win this one, he seems well in control of situation. ;)
8"4 is the gap between Ucci and Rox ater SS9 this morning, and now comes the 26km long stage ;)
Strange the puncture of Crugnola in SS10(+ 3' lost to change a tyre) :s I suspect a kind of team order from Citroën in order Campedelli to be "safe" winner of GrR and get junior title
4"4 is the new gap between Ucci and Rox with a superspecial and a 13km long stage to run this afternoon :D
So, Andreucci wins once again in front of Rox with Cunico in third step of podium.
It is over: Andreucci won this event, although Rossetti managed to close the gap; at the end the gap was yust 4,7 seconds. Still, deserved victory for winning this event to Andreucci-and not forget, he is sixth time national champion.
But for me personally the hero of this rally was definitely the ''old gun'' Franco Cunico-he pushed to the limit and overtook Alesio Pisi. Nice to see old guy on the podium; by the way, he won the title in the ''Indipendenti category''!! According to the rumors this was his last season in CIR. He will be soon 55 years old....
Congrats to young S.Cempedelli, as I predict he ended this rally among first ten drivers and also won the title in the category of young drivers.
Season 2011 is finished, what will happen next year??? Will there be a driver who will finally be able to fight whole season against Ucci??? I'm not sure.....
Cunico an old rival of Snijers, and both are still driving ^^
Fantastic entrylist for Rally Bassano next week
So many WRCs and S2000s !!! :bounce:

Hmm... I'm not sure about it. 95% of those drivers are just anonymous names. Those cars will not drive by themselves. And the Basso at numbers 76 and 81 is not the famous Giandomenico Basso ;)
Yes, I think of the same. When I started watching rallies, both Snijers and Cunico were already top names in this sport. Now, 20 years later, they are still there and still fighting for top positions. Amazing! It's only a shame that Cunico didn't make any international career. But still... to have such speed being 55 years old is unbelieveable! Congratulations!Quote:

And what's even more impressive is that Snijers entered Ypres rally for the 33th time on a row and was still a big contender if u see he finished 4th in his debut with the Mini against a top field of International contenders! Snijers is the only Musketeer who's very active Duez and Droogmans u probably see only in the Legend Boucles de Spa and Ypres Historic but if they enter it's to win and be spectacular, Robert won once again there against all Historic contenders who have rhythm :D . They all still got it and all those Musketeers u can put them in every car they'll be always fast and spectacular!
Fantastic Eddie Sciessere !!!! 3rd overall after 5 stages of Rally Bassano !!! :D

Yesterday finished Azzano rally, a gravel event. Andreas Mikkelssen won six out of eight stages, he won with a huge advantage over Luca Rossetti. It is obviously that Grande Punto has no chance on the gravel against Skoda Fabia, it must be very frustrating for Rossetti to lost a fight on the home soil.
At the moment Rally degli Abeti (valid for I.R.C) is held, Manuel Sossella (last year's champion of this series) is in comfortable lead in front of D.Oldrati (both with C4 WRC), the third position has Eddie Sciessere with Clio S1600.
Maybe Punto isn't the reason ? :) I think it way too optimistic to expect Rox to compete against Mikkelsen on gravel even in a Fabia so there's no reason to be frustrated . Just look how slow he was in Poland . The only Italian who can maybe do that is Ucci ;) Note a greta 3rd place for Andrea de Luna ;)Quote:

For me , it's much more realistic to see his perfomances a few weeks ago than a few years ago to see his form on gravel .
I really don't believe that he forgot to drive. On the contrary show me any single driver competitive on 2011 gravel stages with Punto ;)Quote:

On TestRally.com, link 'Video' on the top-right, video from Pirelli tests with the italian driver and tester Andreucci. The car is an old Lancia 037 with the new Pirelli P7 tires.
After the night leg of Rallylegend yesterday, Luca Pedersoli leading "Bosse" for 8"8 :p :
