So if Meeke had done some proper cutting, finished the day 2sec faster, 0.5 in front of Mikkelsen, he would of only been penalised 1sec to drop him 1 place?!?

I guess you are right, but it was rather stupid move by Chris, doing it in front of TV camera's.
