Is Pisi a local matador? His stage times are just too amazing.
It's the only rally of CIR that Pisi knows very well(4th time he runs it) ;)
By the way, last stage of he leg is running :)
So end of day one
Pisi ahead of Ucci(+12")and Perico...
Rox 5th, Angrisani(1st GrN)6th, Campedelli(1st GrR)7th and Scandola 8th...
Note the nice battle in GrR/Junior as Nucita is only +5" behind Campedelli ;)
Today's first stage is over, fastest was U.Scandola (interesting-8 seconds slower than last year fastest stage time, made by Kopecky), four seconds behind Umberto was Andreucci. The overall leader A.Pisi made a small mistake, lost almost 13 seconds. I think after next stage we will have a new overall leader...
Maybe the conditions are very differrent... yesterday the stage times were also much slower then times made by Basso las year or two years ago..
Ucci is pushing a lot... I think that in the next stage he will be the new leader :)
Also ROX or Scandola should be in front of Cunico at the end of the rally..
In the Jr. really interesting battle between Campedelli and Nuscita... yesterday Campedelli was faster.. today.. Nuscita is on the lead!!
I hope Cunico can stay ahead of Rox/Scando'
Shame that puncture of Perico
Another victory for Andreucci.... Pisi 2nd and Scandola 3rd overall.... not an exciting rally this time...
Yes, Andreucci again !!! His sixth title is almost in his hands! Well done Alesio Pisi, deserved second place. Cempedelli again clearly the fastest in 2WD (after the Nuscita's retairment). Pitty for the old guy F.Cunico, he should stand on the podium.....
Puncture for Nucita, not retirement :mark:
Anyway fantastic overall result for me :D
Complication after the Salento rally: Elwis Chentre and his team Vieffecorse gave an appeal to the responsible persons of the rally because Elwis hit a stone on one stage, by the inspection of the inboards from the crews driving in front of him and after him, nowebody from others encountered this stone.....As Vieffecorse got no positive reply from the race director, the team & Chentre decided not to attend CIR 2011 anymore.
What a ****ing situation...
Yep a shame, a SCANDAL what the spectator(???)did with that stone
Same story a bit around Travaglia in Turkey when he said that the stone he hit could normally not laying there and with that retirement the ERC program seems to be done..
Roads in Turkey were very rough, so there is no problem to have big stone on the road. And if he has crashed into this stone, there is no problem to split up this stone (it was big stroke). Pity he hadnt onboard camera on that stage...
Yes indeed, wel that's what he said. Didn't Ford or Latvala complain that the stone he hit in Argentina seemed also a bit weird?
Rally Appeninno Reggiano next event of TRA this week-end ;)
No Felice Re(present at the Rally Ticino counting for swiss championship)and no Luca Pedersoli :(
Fantastic entrylist on this week-end's rally del Casentino :bounce:

Don't forget also Rally San Marino, next event of italian gravel championship, with Andrea Mikkelsen at the wheels of the Fabia of Skoda Italy
Results will be on http://rally.ficr.it/
Interesting to see Matteo Gamba at the wheel of Proton Satria S2000 on the Rally del Casentino. Hopefully the Proton won't break down again.
They have new rules this year for this championship.Quote:

Drivers will participate in all the rallies of a group and the two finals. The lack of participation in a race will result in the loss of the right to acquire scores.
They can use only two results per round, in which the score will be awarded for overall and for each CSAI Cup scheduled according to the following
ladder: 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1.
Final rallies will have access to all drivers who have received scores of three events and have participated in a round of rallies in the two finals will be scheduled
the following ladder of scores: 25,18,15,12,10,8,6,4,2,1.
It's always interesting to see Matteo Gamba competing.. but with a Proton, I don't expect nothing :(Quote:

Crash from Trentin on SS2 :(
Aghini lost a lot of time in SS3... I don't know what happened
I think flat tire, Mikkelsen can now win and forget of last weekend..Quote:

I think Mikkelsen have control, but he has been first on the road. In the second loop it will maybe be more equal. Mikkelsen wants full pointscoring in this event and Travaglia are not competing in the TRT so I dont think they think so much of Travaglias stagetimes.
As expected, Mikkelsen wins Rally San Marino. Second is Travaglia (+13 s) and third Arminen (+56). I guess it must be the first international win for Mikkelsen?
Well..In Rally del Casentino, with one stage to go... Gamba is 10 overall with a Proton... the car showed some reability.... but.. he is behind a Clio S1600.... so.. no speed at all for Proton...
He has won several events outside Norway, this year he won Rally Giraglia on Corsica, he has won Saaremaa Rally in Estonia and he has won 5-6 events or more in Wales, Ireland and Great Britain.Quote:

A new victory for UCCI ??? Before being crown champion ?? :D
yes for sure, andreucci will do it :)
would be nice if scandola could battle with him...
Don't forget Aghini, Travaglia, ROX...Quote:

Well Ucci is having a really really easy rally in San Cripsino... now he is in "cruise" control for the title
Also Papadimitriou very good times in front of Italians with N4 cars.
Andreucci is already a champion-as Rossetti did not even start (health problems). Sixth crown!!
What is the reason of retirement from Umberto Scandola?
