I'm happy with that fifth place, never thought that I would be faster on the taqr than on the snow though.. Interesting! Lets get ready for Sweden in a weeks time!
that's good 2 see! 18 entries and different teams. Keep it up. Well done!
Rat, Will, coming to the pub?
**** Kabouter! Curtans Rallybase Motorsport actually did not finish last!!! This calls for a celebration!
It is also very impressive that we are so evenly matched, ten seconds only!
So: 14 and 15 and not finishing last. Where can we go from here? Is there any more achievements to be done in the world of rallying?
I would also like to thank Kabouter for a very fine cooperation within Curtans Rallybase Motorsport!
To the rest of you: it has been a pleasure to compete with you on this event, and we are looking forward to more barely controled slides and strange offs. Nice weekend to yall!
:D
I'm certainly going to the pub, as long as I don't have to see more snow :p
Same - any advance on those stage by stage times?
Can I ask why my times are currently unofficial? Did I do something wrong?
Cheers jso all understood. PM sent
what do you mean? they're already available as posted aboveQuote:

Apart from sending times that are impossible, no. I've compared your times with those on http://www.hotlaps.de and came up with this:Quote:

3: you've just set a world record, congrats...
4: as fast as the fastest official time
5: see above
6: five seconds faster the best official time
7: new world record, by 7 seconds!
8: another one; by 6 seconds this time
9: close to the record
Looking at the codemaster's site, you total time is also a new record
You get my point? I'm appealing against the official results because this is just unreal.
now than an official appeal has been done, I'll contact two drivers that won't be afected with any change on Will's times, and the three of us will decide what to do.
were the stage times on the link? Because I just get redirected to something requiring a login or something.
Also, why are you questioning Will's times, and not Marcel's? Surely the driver finnishing first would have been faster?
Because my times for the snow stages were out of the ordinary. I don't know how I can prove my times, or make any person believe I went that fast. I'm absolutely sure I put wet tarmacs on and reversed the stages. 100% sure.Quote:

I've offered to Javier that I do the rally again by this evening, with photo evidence. I'll even stick it up.
But really if you don't agree or think my times are legit....then I'll do the event again if you like, or give me time penalties or notional times or just disqualify me... :(
Will, take a look in the "Cheats" section of your game to see if you turned on "Aggressive cars" by accident!?
to Will
Are you allways so fast on snow rallies? In ordinary conditions (right tyres, non mirror mode) ? Maybe is something wrong in your instalation (cheat settings). Try to reinstall the game and run ordinary Sweden Rally.
That is the Yahoo group that serve as the official homepage of this championship, you have to sign up and log in to download files (timecards, stage by stage results, etc)Quote:

REALLY good drive teammate  I hereb annoint you as Suzuki Driver #1 :D
I was chagrined to finish behind the organizer on tarmac for day 1 :p
Not much to pick and choose from 7th-11th-really could have gone to an of the group...
It won't make a difference. You shakedown time was impossibly fast too, yet you had "proof" for that.Quote:

But suddenly, you happen to be the only one in the world to go 10 seconds faster in a WRC. Why hasn't anyone else gone so fast? If it really is possible?
The only proof I accept, is a video. You can create fake time-screenshots with a bit of photoshop handywork, but you can't fake a video.
It is difficult when situations like this arise; what if Will was that fast? Guess we just have to trust him...? Or...?
questions for Will: are you a PC guy? Joystick?
He's on pc, he posted a screenshot of his shakedown and that couldn't have been on playstation.
I think this suggestion is a good one...If there is a cheat related install issue running the non-mirrored Sweden on wet tarmacs should remove that variableQuote:

Go look at the CMR2 WRC archives, examine all the past years and put your self in our shoes-understand the expressed doubts and perhaps help us find a way to either validate your times or put them in perspective via an alternative rally format
I will withdraw from the event. I've read the times on the cmr2 page, and I realize why you are curious, or maybe suspicious about my times.
I could do a video of one stage if you like, as my camera only has 3 minutes of video availiable on the memory card...
But I don't want to be the person who brings a brilliant competition into dispute because of my times. I don't understand either since reading them on the yahoo group.
At the end of the day it might turn out I wrote them down wrong or typed in the wrong times on the Excel sheet.
So I will retire from the Monte Carlo rally. I will provide photo evidence of my times for Sweden if asked to. Many apologies for the inconvienience.
Martin Frosdick lead driver of Frozz Motors Europe releases new comments on Monte Carlo
"we are dissapointed with our results the individual stage times were ok but the over all time and position is disheartening for us we were battling with mechanical problems and that probably why. But hey next event in sweden hopefully we'll put in a better performance"
[quote="Magnus"]
As it turns out, since Will has decided to retire, there is more achievements to be done in the world of rallying!!!
13th and 14th for Curtans Rallybase Motorsports. I would suggest you other guys to also consider withdrawal, who knows where we can end up then!
:D
Will >> You have taken it like a true sportsman!!
I am confident that everybody want to see you continue to compete in this championship!
Ok, I also think the right thing to do is just to withdraw from the event. Obviously your times are very fast, but may be you are just fast, nobody can say for sure. I personally do not believe you cheated or something, just because there is no point in doing that. Anyways, to keep the competition sweet this is the best thing to do. Subaru WRT is supporting you 100%.
I have re-uploaded my tributesite to this championship:
