It looks there are a few changes in Solà plans for the IRC season
Take a look on this press-release
http://www.piemontrally.it/public/Co...27_ZProcar.php
Four Rallys:
Istanbul Rally
Ypres rally
Rally of Russia
and finally Rally Vinho Madeira....YES!!!
Hmmm, one week before the first IRC event and still we don't know what manufactures are subscribed... anyone knows more?
Abarth, Honda, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Volkswagen
at the bottom of the IRC homepage you can see this
These are the manufactures of last year...Quote:

That is quite disapointing then... no Subaru and only one FWD? :(Quote:

Note that BFGoodrich replaces Pirelli as tyres supplier :)
5 Rallys for Tóth , not bad.
The Italian driver Alessio Pisi winner of Trofeo API-IP Oro Diesel 2007 will take part in some rounds of IRC driving the Fiat Grande Punto Multijet Diesel. His program will sart in Ypres and then Sanremo, Valais and maybe Barum rally.
Bad luck for you, he won't be at Vinho da Madeira :mark: ;)
They will have the air cleaner :D
No problem Tom, Mirek is right... Can you imagine Fiat Multijet going up in our roads??. It would be a black cloud with some noise... :)Quote:

Reason : the partnership with Automeca can't be confirmed by the french team, so Gilles broke contacts with them
If only a team running under the Peugeot colours took him :(
van Dalen should give him the third permanent Kronos car.Quote:

It's a time question. Runs in 2 , 3 ...... i think it's possible.
He said to Autosport that he was tired of chasing deals and sponsors, that at the last minute fell through, and said he quit rally altoghether.Quote:

Teambosses: Offer him a deal - he would be splendid to watch in a S2000 !
Honda JAS motorsport has confirmed a IRC program. The Italian Alessandro Bettega will be the driver of the Civic. The car will make its debut at the Rally of Ypres in Belgium from June 27-28 and will then compete on five more rallies in the championship.
The Italian team Procar will give the technical support in the rallys.
The 2WD class is getting interesting!!!
If only Renault would bring 2 Clio R3s,Citroen at least 2 C2 R2 (C2 S1600 possibly) and Fiat-Abarth 2 Punto R3Ds it would be an excellent championship!!!Eurosport gives an extra 2WD-only TV programme after every rally and there you have it!!!
Finn Juho Hänninen is to drive the Kronos Peugeot 207 S2000 on the Rally Russia next month...
That would be really interesting... :s mokin:Quote:

Ok, that is valuable information, do you have any idea when it will be decided because Rally Russia is planned only two weeks after Ypres?Quote:

As I know, organisers asked FIA to change their date to September.
September is allready very occupied with Principe de Asturias and San Remo, so it will be difficult to put it there?
I think he wasn't quick against S2000 because of the car he used..Quote:
