Sorry that link looks like spam, it's MF's new system of converting raw URLs into text that's caused the issue!
Got this one Alfa Fan? 1/43 SEAT Leon WTCC 2010 Macau A.Couto Star Wars 501 st legion | eBay
Edit: Just found another one and it's a new release of 300 pieces, on sale at the Macau Grand Prix.
Ordered it yesterday, meant to share it here as well, so thanks for doing that as I'd forgotten!
As you say it's a special release, limited to 300 pieces, with the proceeds of the initial sales going to the charity for Afonso Couto, the son of Andre, who sadly died last year from leukaemia.
This is the one I bought, its a bit cheaper: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
No probs. :) Collection complete once again eh!
Found a good deal on the 2009 Muller Leon, so added that to my collection. Not too fussed about other Leons from the same years, unless they have a different livery.
Pretty much, there's a few pieces I still need from various seasons, but I have the vast majority of them, only short of 2 WTCC models that have ever been made, and I intend to pick them up in the next few months. Some of the older ETCC Alfas and BMWs are very tricky to get now (I have to get brand new in box examples - which makes it even harder!)
The IXO SEATs are very nice, I'll be interested to see if they do the 2010 ones, but I doubt it.
Now that Yvan Muller has won the WTCC twice with the Chevrolet Cruze it would be great if somebody would make the 1/43 models of them
Norev have. The 2009 cars were released; but nothing since.
I think I will be buying these
Got them sitting in my room at the moment! They are quite nice. Made by Spark so decent quality.
New 2011 Chevvy Cruzes announced at Trax Alfa Fan..
And the D O'Young car!
Pre-ordered the lot on the day they went up... I spend far too much on diecast!
O/T Also got myself on order some of those Spark 1/18 Le Mans cars, they are seriously nice, £150 a piece though :o , has just come down in the last month or so thankfully..
The surprise is that it is spark that are producing the Cruze' not norev. *Thinks some gentle persuasion for some Plato/Macdowall /Paul O'neill/George models are in order ;) *
I would have thought you would be better off using the Norev model as a base for the BTCC car, as it is based on the non turbo version of the car. I guess the Spark will have the extra intakes on the front.Quote:

FINALLY! Something to talk about!
The 2011 Cruze's are out.

Yep, due into the UK any day now. Got mine @ £40 a piece. Will be interesting to compare to the Norev version.
AND?? How does it compare??Quote:

The Spark slightly edges the Norev in terms of finish as well, the decals, and more noticeably, their application is better on my Sparks. Spark capture the reflective outlines around the Chevrolet badges which is missing from the Norev, and if its something that concerns you on 1:43, the interior looks marginally better on the Spark. At least on my example of the Rob Huff one, the wheels were stuck to the base and I was seriously concerned it was going to damage the model pulling it away (it didn't, fortunately). In terms of poise, the Spark looks a lot better, much lower to the ground, however that comes at the cost of the wheels being stuck in place and unable to rotate, whereas the Norev is able to be rolled on its wheels. Overall fairly equal though, if they both produced a version of the same car, I'd just go for whichever was cheaper.Quote:

Is this new spark model resin or do you know if it is white metal?
I'm not sure, but given the models that advertise they are white metal are usually 3x the price, I'd guess its resin. Spark usually is.
