Hi everybody I'm new to this forum and have listed my BTCC models on another thread. I have been collecting since March last year and have about 160+ models now. I know I spend to much on my models each month but I can't help it lol. My best buy this month was the Minichamps 1994 volvo's that Rydell and Lammers drove, all for the great price of £87 for both. I was expecting them to go for a lot more.
I expect to be on here a lot more now I've found this site. Cheers guys for reading.
I've been watching them go for £60 odd for 1 and when I won I made sure they were sent special delivery as you know what the post office is like. I dealt with you last year on ebay didn't I KILOHMUNNS?
It was a Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth in 1991 and a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth in 1990. Just to clear that up for you. ;)Quote:

That's quite a killer deal, ebay? Is it mint in box?Quote:

I am currently converting a STW Audi A4 into the 96 Frank Biela BTCC car, however it slow progress so far, i have removed most of the unwanted decals but have a few stubborn decals left, ie on the roof the 97 STW car had 'Audi Quattro' written on the roof (both ends of the roof) and i am struggling to get rid of them, most of the other unwanted decals came off using either my thumb nail, or a a bluntish peice of plastic, for example the battery cover on my TV remote.
I have been advised to use two products for my transformation of this model, however i cant seem to get them from anywhere, the local model shop has heard of them but dont stock them, anyone got any idea's?
Micro - Sol, and Micro - Set. Also where could i buy 'liquid decal' from?
PDS has helped me in the past, and i would be truly thankfull for anyone else in the know for their help/input :)
Daz, If your model shop does not sell either Micro-Sol or Micro-set, I suggest you find a proper model shop!Quote:

I removed the Audi Quattro from the roof of mine, very carefully with a scalpel with a new blade.
As for the 97 version of the BTCC Audi. It is representative of the show car that was displayed pre-season. The decals on the race cars are different.
I have found 3 different versions of decals used! But there is one main decal missing from all.
I've nearly finished a 97 BBR kit, which decal is missing? I've got a feeling there should've been one on the roof but my books are packed away at the moment. I've a pigs ear of the windows through, can't get the hang of BBR windows!!!Quote:

Not really small enough to miss!
Its only a small shop really, like yours it caters pretty nicely for Airfix models or train sets, but its not much good for Minichamps models, they told me when i asked that big companys like Grand Prix models buy in bulk so, they dont get a look in when it comes to buying new car models.Quote:

Also if you have a great printer (that prints white) you can do the names without having to do the letters individually. He had produced quite a few using this method and they looked excellent.Quote:

Managed to pick up a 1960's Fraser Nash Hillman Imp at the weekend. Not sure which year yet until I get it in the post.
Not exactly BTCC but I got the WTCC BMW 320si of Andy Priaulx from 2006.
There is another thread for WTCC models, you may want to have a look.Quote:

whoa, killer deal! :D How did you manage that? That sounds quite unbelievable! Did it come with a display case or box?Quote:

I've just noticed I put 93 Cavalier it should say 94. But you all know what I meant.
I have all of the racing replicas Cavaliers, and they are among my favourites in my collection, especially the 93 Cleland and the 94 Smith cars.
I actually added a new car to my collection last week, first one in ages. Its not BTCC though. A 1994 BMW 320i, Italian Superturismo Championship, Ravaglia (Minichamps).
Anyone spotted this... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...3529&rd=1&rd=1
The car body is wrong.. It should be a 2 door coupe and it has the wrong wheels. But it would look nice in someone's collection..
Plus.. at the moment it is cheap....
Who's the driver meant to be, Colin McRea?
Not seen it before your link though PDS, i wouldn't be interested in it though.
Yes.. In his only outing at Knockhill in 1992 http://www.stillphotography.co.uk/ga...ock_w.jpg.htmlQuote:

It always pays to look worldwide on ebay I think. :p :Quote:

Motorpro also produced the Ford Mondeo's of Matt Neal, Charlie Cox and Richard Kaye from 1995! And Will Hoy's championship winning M3 from 1991.
Yep i do, i bought the 93 and 94 works Cavaliers (Cleland) and the 94 Nigel Smith Cavalier as a three car bundle, £100 for the trio. I then added the 1993 David Leslie Ecure Ecose Cavalier at a later date. There is also another 93 Ecure Ecose Cavalier, the car Harry Nuttal drove, just a different name and number, i have the Leslie version.Quote:

The photo doesn't do it justice as the model looks better close up, but the front isn't quite right as as you said it look a little squashed (not as good as a Minichamps), but still a great model.Quote:

I didn't realise that Motorpro did the Hoy model, did they make the Mondeos as well as Minichamps as I've never seen them?
They converted minichamps mondeos! In fact all the Motorpro cars were converted models with the exception of the Gravett Sapphire from 1991, which was a white metal made model.Quote:
