Solans looked pretty quick on the testing videos. Cais and Griebel surprisingly quick so far but difficult to draw many conclusions with changeable weather conditions and varying tyre choices.
So today we should still have live broadcast from SS8 (at 16:10) and SS9 (at 18:33). They are probably local times, so please take 1h difference into consideration.
Luky seems he controls his pace accordingly to championship rivals.
Luky goes ahead of Solberg despite his tyre choice.
Oliver Solberg @OliverSolberg01
You can tell from the times who has the right and wrong tires - big gaps between those on full dry and full wet, and we're in the middle with mixed tires. Hoping it works better for us in the next 2 stages!
Bassas even faster on SS2. Ahead of Solberg on 14th place with Rally4 car. For sure he has good tyre chaoice but still 1,7 s/km behind the fastest is impressive.
Also pace of both Suzuki R4 are quite good
Cant believe so many drivers/teams took the wrong tyres this morning.
Mikkelsen: 'like driving on an ice rink'.
Huge change in battle for spanish championship with Lopez out, but Suarez needs at least to be second spanish and take points in last stage to win the title.
There will be many fights going on in this tricky conditions
Solberg saying there wasnt enough time to change tyres on the road sections anyway.
Interesting splits on SS4, seems like first section is very wet, second dryish and 3rd wet, but less than first.
Munster slowest so far on SS3 - his ERC1 Junior chance seems gone.
Mayr-Melnhoff reports transmission problems through the whole loop.
Luky just 4.9s ahead of Solberg after SS3.

It seems to be drying out quickly since Torn, Bassas and Furuseth set 8-10th place overall in SS3.
Impressed by the top Rally4 drivers, that on ss3 so far are on 8th, 9th and 10th on stage, and best one is on 13th total.
Yeah, Bassas is faster than half R5 drivers after SS3 :)

Nil Solans won 3 out of 4 stages so far - "We have correct tyres and we are happy for that."

Grégoire Munster: "I have no grip, it's just surviving."
On the other hand we have Marczyk - "It's very challenging with slicks tyres, it was full wet, very bad tyre choice. Lot of rain and some fog in places."
Good lead increase by Luky over Solberg on SS4.

Anyone know the forecast for the afternoon? Hoping for some more consistent conditions so we can see a fightback from the 'top' guys.
Breen and Mikelssen 17th & 20th (!) Who says ERC is not competitive :D
Abarth 1 minute faster than Alpine so far:

Bassas in Rally 4 is "in fight" with reigning ERC champion and just 0.6 behind the current number 2. If you use that as metric ERC sucks :D
Gutted for Lopez; he's leading both the CERA and SCER spanish series but now he can mostly wait for rivals issues. According to revistascratch.com, Suarez needs to be first or second spanish driver in order to get the CERA, while Solans has to finish first or second among SCER registered drivers (Ares, Monzon, Cruz or Pernia aren't) to become SCER champ.
Anyway, great pace from Solans and Ares and a nice fight for P3. Incredible to see ERC favourites so behind; wrong tyre choice or any other mistake?
Dirtfish:
'M-Sport’s Adrien Fourmaux was one of the few drivers to get a dry set-up and slick tires working properly and ended the Friday morning loop in third, 1.1s ahead of local driver Yeray Lemes.
Despite fearing he was “losing a lot of time” with his set-up Fourmaux was the only non-Spaniard within half a minute of rally leader Solans.'
