Has there usually been any "meet the drivers"-event or anything similar during rally sweden?
Date: Thursday 14 February
Time: 18:15 – 18:45
Place: Indoor grand stand (“Toto-hallen”), Karlstad Super Special Stage (marked C on drawing No 3 “Starting area” in Appendix 4).

Best view from the building 'C' (Toto Hallen)!
The hippodrome is flat, so you don't see a lot.

Anyone any Info on current conditions on stages. Have been reading on other sites that karlstad has no snow and very little on stages.??? Was rally held out of torsby last week and stages cut up to gravel after few cars supposedly.

Nah I say it's looking promising, at least in the stages.

On weather sites, search for "Torsby", or "Hagfors". Its below freezing temperatures and expecting nothing less the following two weeks, with snow some of the days. Looking good so far!
Use gismeteo.ru or yr.no to get the best intell...although since it is so far away, they can`t predict it also....
There are two sides of the coin.
1) Snow conditions regarding snowbanks, doesn´t mean
2) Icy bottom on stages.
Hopefully there´s both. But if it was gravel last Saturday in Torsby and we get cold below zero up to date of RS, there still be gravel but maybe big snowbanks.
If unlucky we´ll have neither...
https://www.smhi.se/vadret/vadret-i-sverige/snodjup 40-ish CM snow in the area (some right under, some over).
Don't pay too much attention to Karlstad, the stages aren't there.
This one reckons small blizzard for Karlstad. (Sunday/ Monday) then warming up later in the extended forecast.

Then again, with the exception of the Super Special, the weather in Karlstad are quite irrelevant for the actual rally.
However, the forecast for Torsby is quite similar. Nice amount of snow the coming days, but loads of rain at the end of the long-term forecast. Hagfors however will not get any rain, but the same amount of snow. So I'd say the long term forecast is quite unstable atm and nothing to pay too much attention to. If the forecast for the 3rd, 4th and 5th of February is the same when we enter February, it is time to get a bit unhappy.
Though, a day with rain, and then freezing temperatures will just be nice in terms of a bit of solid ice.
Have entries now closed? No changes to the entry list online for some time..
They`ve been closed for some time now yes, since 15.01.
Yes entry list is now approved by the FIA ;

use these sites instead: https://www.smhi.se/vadret/vadret-i-...,tab=0,chart=1 https://www.yr.no/sted/Sverige/V%C3%...idsvarsel.html The expected winds are light to moderate so I wouldn't call it a blizzard. Also no rain expected for Torsby during the next 10 days according to current forcastes.
Hello. For those who have spectated the first part of vargasen, wich road do you take for arriving there, the one thaht comes from the north or the other from the south? Anyway, do you know if some of those roads are closed during the rally? Do they cut the road from a lot of distance befire the stage start?
Is there anyone near the area that can drive and record the rammen stage? Or anyone that have a video from there?
Anyone trying to see 2 stges in the saturday morning loop?
Thanks very much everyone.

Why just one car i 2Pro from Citroen. They need data on loose from more than Mads to develop.

Route preview. Not much to write about in terms of changed itinerary, but I tried to analyze the stages in greater depth through onboards. The ones I would like to highlight are Hof-Finnskog being almost completely sixth gear stuff between numerous junctions and Vargåsen, with a very technical road before Colin's Crest.
No recce video for Rämmen stage yet. Why?
There are two roads from the south and one coming from the north into the same junction as the 2nd one from the south.
After they made the stage shorter the 1st one from the south has been quite crowded and a few cars falling into the ditch as It's a bit narrow, If you're early/lucky you can park 50-100m from the stage at all places.
Going from Rämmen to Vargåsen the shortest route after WRC will probably work but not sure i would recommend it.
For a first time Rally Sweden visitor, does anyone have any advice about how to stay warm, please?
It may sound daft, but standing for many hours in a frozen forest seems a bit challenging!
Put some fir branches under your feet, it isolates you from the frozen ground.
Bring a disposable grill with you, and some swedish sausages with the proper breads.
Do not forget a small camping seat, your buttocks will not be wet!
In case of extreme cold, take some logs with you and make a fire.
@Tomhlord: Ski wear, Woolen underwear both top and legs under your ski wear, water proof boots (I use the SOREL winterboots), Bring wood, knife and axe for fire, Jagermeister/beer and remember water, Coffee/tea you can cook over the fire, Find places in the sun if it is sunny, Use grane tree leaves/sticks to stand on. Have a great time :-)
Are you all going on a Northpole expedition? :)
I have been until now 14 times in Rally Sweden and NEVER had any problems with the cold wearing standard ski outfit (underwear and ski wear) and good winter trekking boots suitable for -30 degrees and more. Maybe cap and gloves to change if they get wet. If it is a really cold year just put one or two tshirts more on and thats it.
No need for fires, coffee, soups, alcohol, knives or axes or whatever. How do you bring all this stuff to the stage? :)
I prefer to stay flexible and change my location during the day on the stage - then there is absolutely no need to build half a campsite.
Hi Per on WRC+ you can see onboards from the 2016 version , I know its the opposite direction and not exactly the same but at the minute its better than nothing and gives a bit of an idea of the road, if anyone gets the password for the stage videos I would appreciate a pm as well.
Thanks Satnav. I already done that, with Mads, Seb and Historic Volvo of Mats Thorszelius... ;)
And yes, you get to know places where there´s open Crests and some stuff like that. But more could have happened since 2016 so I´m curious.
I have my thoughts of where to stay, but the more I get it confirmed the better… and from correct direction.
But thanks anyway, mate.
I have been in Rally Sweden four times and those have helped me a lot: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hands-Singl.../dp/B00GUH39YQ
