perfect!
People criticising the long stages expecting huge gaps.. only 14 sec covers top 5.
Plus 'big' gaps can be closed by driver pushes or small mechanicals over these many kms.
Tanak start well -0.6
Yaris tyre-warming !

Was not able to solve the problem, but now the radio is working!
Meeke flying again.
Exactly the same stage as last year... we can compare this stage to the times for the 2016 cars.
Ogier 18:36.6 in 2016.... 18:25.5 in 2017. :)
It looks like that with more tyre wear Evans will struggle to fight with the fastest R5 cars.
Tänak basically minute faster than last year with Dmacks
only 15sec faster from laast year
only 15 secs? thats quite good IMO...how much do you expect, a minute ?
Meeke passed like "Sanglier":D
What a massive powerslide from Meeke on fb video! WOW!
Evans soooooo slow... just tyres ?
Meeke is on it this morning ! :D
Meeke 3.2 faster than Ogier...im afraid it wont last long
#2 Tänak Ott - Järveoja Martin
"The pace is very nice but in the wide roads I'm struggling with the balance. For sure, it's not so nice even though we made some changes after the first stage."
Paddon catches Evans
Poor Evans... my eyes covers be blood when I see this slow run :(
Paddon soon catching Evans...
Game over for Kopecký, obviously he needs either to cruise without powersteering (really nice job on such twisty roads) for whole day or to retire.

. @krismeeke's time 18:22.3 this year compared to 18:50.3 last year for an identical 29.12 km long stage.
That is 0.96 sec/km quicker
Seems that Breen and Sordo are locked together this year.
Have to say - given their relative WRC car experience - that it bodes well for Craig to already be on Dani's level. In his 11th full WRC drive.
I see Sordo now in a bit of a 'gatekeeper' type role in the WRC. A real solid driver. Not going to win rallies but a good pro and benchmark. But if you want to excel in the WRC you need to be quicker than him.
I think this year we will see that Tanak is the next guy to move consistently above the 'Sordo line'.
Shame Sordo never got to shine...
Sordo always has been, and always will be a journeyman...
noun, plural journeymen.
