Craig eases ahead - not bad at all
What is more shocking to me is that Tidemand who is faster among 25 WRC2 drivers, 2 weeks ago was actually beaten (if wasn't the puncture who cost him 17 sec) by the 15 1/2 yrs old Rovanpera in a 120 km rally.....
And the kid in first R5 rally
Been a fan of his for years but still pleasantly surprised at Breen's pace on this first day. Seems to be improving both in speed and consistency and grabbing this chance in the DS3 with both hands. :)
"Incredible. I have to thank Sheikh Khalid for giving me this chance. I haven't had this much enjoyment for a long, long time. It's a dream."
I'm loving these close times.
Tanak is still fast as hell and moving to the leading position. I am afraid he will crash if he continues at this pace.:-D
Latvala and Sordo in their top cars being put to shame by Tanak in the old Fiesta.
In fact all of them !
Great comments by Tanak.
'When you're in a hurry there's no time to lift.'
Incredible, i have no words. super happy at the moment
Class driving from Tanak. Looking forward to seeing the clips of him in action.
Pretty crazy that Ogier is averaging one fastest time per leg these days.
DMACK Tyres @DMACK_Tyres
YESSSSSS!!!!!! Three fastest times in a row takes @OttTanak into the rally lead.
Rally Poland more forgiving than most rallies, so this I think is the only event that you can have that attack over a whole weekend and actually get to the finish. Would be good for both him and Dmack to get this (even tough I personally off course cheer for a certain Kiwi.) Tanak has amazing speed when it clicks, and Dmack does a lot of good for the rally sport as a whole, and I think their effort in that respect is sometimes overlooked. :)
The crowd just went mental at @OttTanak on his jump and it was MASSIVE!!!!
anybody have a footage already?
Incredibly close times on this stage...only 1.2s between 5th and 10th place.
Suninens first split...
Some action from today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7DCLqs3rLE
Amazing day for the WRC ... no accidents, incidents or mechanicals... must be the best first day this season.
Latvala at 150 km/h collects a passenger on his WRC Polo and carries it around...

Latvala: 'A very bad day overall. No feeling for the driving and I don't understand it. I am not together with the car. I have no words.'
Great first day! Tight battle for P1!
Damn, Tidemand stopped.
Hope nothing serious for Pontus, fast stages.
Also Bergkvist out (technical problem).
Tidemand went off.
Has anyone, maybe the Polish members, got any news/updates on Katjo? I see he lost some time this afternoon. He was one of the most intriguing stories in the rally but he's kind of been a forgotten man today.
Great 1st day, small gaps, awesome Ott....looking forward for Saturday....
I admit it sounds like Ostberg hadnt got the balls anymore, especially on these super fast stages...
(Østberg Mads / Fløene Ola): There was dust in some of the high speed sections and if you want to live you have to slow down.
Mikkelsen Andreas / Jaeger Anders): The dust was bad in here though, hard to see. Not an easy stage in these conditions. You just close your eyes and go for it!
Just a thought... when Tanak is slow its his tyres... but when he's fastest here could it also be his tyres ?
Have DMack got a great tyre for these roads...
Just accept it... Mads is getting old and slow ;)
